I have been through this job seeking activity like a hero, or a hoe.
Sometimes I picked out the
jobs that I really wanted, but it was not rare that I put my applications in every job vacancy that said bachelor of engineering, fresh from the oven. Then suddenly, I came out to this thought about choosing BUMN as a priority. Im still not really sure why though. Based on my simple study literature, I found out that the major difference between being a civil servant rather than BUMN worker is more likely to be the work priority. Civil servant obliges to serve the citizen, up above all. While the BUMN worker is supposed to make benefits for the company as they provide service to citizen too. The civil servant will get monthly salary after they are retired, meanwhile, as long as I know for the recent system, the BUMN worker will get gold-handshake or something like that, which is a big amount of money as a compensation for the good and hard work in the company. So here I am, striving to get my ass into one of that hella engineer position in PLN. PLN? Am I interested in electricity or PLC? SCADA? An electric boy? Dont ask me that question. Im ashamedly admit that I am totally blind, too, for this decision. Each time the electricity in my home cut off I was so pissed off like Dammit, you did that again? Whats wrong with you (PLN)?. But now, maybe (hopefully), If I were finally an engineer there, what can I do?
The journey of applying to PLN is kind of long and somewhat exhausting. There are 6 steps to pass, and until now I have passed 4 out of 6.
