ARTIST STATEMENT
What is an artist statement?

A general introduction to your work, a body of work, or a specific project.

Your artist statement is about facts, a basic introduction to your art; it's not instructions
on what to experience, what to think, how to feel, how to act, or where to stand, and if it
is, you better do a rewrite. Please answer the questions below & then compose your
artist statement in paragraph form. The artist statement should be 3-5 paragraphs
including 3-5 sentences each.

1. Why do you make art? What inspires you?

I make art because its a creative way to express myself and I enjoy feeling
accomplishment from finishing a piece of art. It helps with my feelings and its just
a fun experience, you are able to create anything your mind has, whether it is
bunches of colors or a landscape painting. It could be a drawing or a sculpture, its
a way to freely express yourself in any way you please. Its having a voice that is
loud but in a creative unique way. Anything can inspire me, it could be lyrics,
books, peoples, places. I see others doing art and it makes me want to be
creative, to be proud of what I have created, because Im not good at a lot of
things, but art is something I feel I can achieve, it makes me feel like a part of
something bigger, like I have a voice.

2. How did you choose your logo idea? What was your thought process on your
designs?

I chose my logo idea because I wanted to make something bold and stand
out, but have a twist. I just thought of cool letter fonts and thats how I came

It means Loveland high schools community and robotics club and how they are
proud to be a part of it

The LHR signifies Loveland High school Robotics. The squid is their mascot. The
metallic look is for robotics.

The logo I created is unique because of the way I chose the letters and the layout
of everything.

6. What tool/technique did you like the best that you used to create your logo?

The hardest part was trying to create the metallic look.
