Dear Maura,

Please accept my resignation as the Human Resources Director for the City of Chattanooga. My
last day of work with the City will be Friday, March 10th .

I am proud of the work that we have accomplished here as I think back on the last four years.
With my wonderful team of HR professionals, we have created and implemented the Employee
Information Guide, we have developed the police and fire pay plans for our public safety
professionals, the City has benefitted from the creation of a centralized HR training and
development program, we have placed a greater emphasis on proactive and professional
employee relations and we continue to focus on programs to ensure our employee's health,
wellness and safety. I am also proud to say through all of this, the HR department has become
a more valued and strategic partner as we have worked to accomplish our mission to provide
leadership, collaboration and support services to all City departments.

I appreciate having the opportunity to work with such a great team under Mayor Berke's
leadership. I am grateful for your leadership as well, and I admire the work that is
accomplished by all City employees every day.
