The Gamma3 Locking Nail system is designed to treat trochanteric fractures. It comes in three neck-shaft angles and uses the same lag screws, set screw, distal locking screws, and end caps. The anatomically shaped nail is made of titanium alloy and inserted with a guide wire. It features a conical tip, neck-shaft angle options, and a single distal locking screw for stabilization in the medullary canal.

Distal Locking Options
Locking in the distal part of the
oblong hole creates a dynamic locking mechanism (see Fig. 1). Locking in the proximal part of the oblong hole creates a static locking mechanism (see Fig. 2).
