A. General Informations for Jacking

(1) You must lift the aircraft at three points on the structure with
three hydraulic jacks:
- one point is under the forward fuselage at FR8,
- the two other points are under the wings at Rib 9.
When the aircraft is on jacks, put a safety stay between FR73 and
FR74.
This prevents any accidental movement of the aircraft.

NOTE : You must not use the safety stay to lift the aircraft.

You can lift the aircraft with jacks when the tires and the shock
absorbers are deflated.
You can lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point only, with the
wheels of the main landing gear on the ground.

NOTE : The maximum permitted aircraft weight for the jacking procedure is

(1) Make sure that you do not apply more than the safe load at each
jacking point.

(2) At the point at FR8:


- the permitted load is 6800 daN (15287.0052 lbf)

(3) At the points at Ribs 9, left and right wings:


- the permitted load is 28500 daN (64070.5365 lbf)

(4) At the point between FR73 and FR74:


- the permitted load is 2000 daN (4496.1780 lbf)

R (1) Slowly operate the controls of the nose and the two wing jacks to
R lift the aircraft at the same attitude.

R NOTE : It is necessary to monitor the level attitude of the aircraft

R during all the jacking procedure.

R (2) Continue to lift the aircraft until you get a clearance of 120 MM
R (4.7244 IN.) between the wheels and the ground for extension and
R retraction tests of landing gears.

R (3) While you lift the aircraft, keep the safety locknuts of the
R hydraulic jacks in contact with the jack collars as you lift the
R aircraft.

B. Preparation of the Aircraft

CAUTION : WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IS WITHOUT ENGINE THE LIFTING AT THE NOSE

JACKING POINT ONLY IS FORBIDDEN.

(1) If the engines are not installed on the aircraft, do a full refueling
of the center tank. (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003)

(2) Before the lifting, make sure that the aircraft is stable (wheels on
ground) (Ref. TASK 05-57-00-200-001).

(3) Put a cell between the jack and the forward jacking point (load cell
with a center hole capacity of 10,000 daN).

NOTE : If the jack has a load indicator, the load cell is not
____
necessary.

(4) During the lifting, make sure that the load at the forward jacking
point is between 1500 daN (3372.1335 lbf) and 6800 daN (15287.0052
lbf).
