Letter of Recommendation for Khuzama Almomani

It is with great enthusiasm that I give my highest recommendation and support for
Khuzama Almomani. As an educational technology teacher who has worked in the field
for over 25 years and a telecollaborative learning specialist with the International and
Education Resource Network, I believe that Khuzama has shown exceptional character
and leadership.

I have had the opportunity to work with Khuzama in a professional capacity as a member
of the iEARN Network of International Educators over the past seven years. During that
time, we have been involved in implementing the use of collaborative online learning
through a program called Global Learning Circles. During each session I have worked
with Khuzama, I have seen nothing less than consistent dedication to her profession, a
desire to create an exceptional educational learning environment, and a determination to
motivate other teachers to accomplish their best.

My work with Khuzama initially started when she joined the project as a participant. As
I worked with her, I soon noticed that she naturally displayed leadership qualities and the
ability to motivate other participants in her group. Khuzama quickly advanced to become
a group facilitator, a position she has held many times over the past seven years.
Khuzama has displayed many outstand qualities of leadership in her elevated role. The
group facilitator position requires her to lead and motivate a team of teachers from
various countries around the world who are interested in collaborating together on a
group project. The teachers and students learn about each others cultures and then
mutually develop collaborative projects. Each teacher/student team then researches
information and develops written documents that provide information, beliefs, stories,
opinions, and ideas. The student created material is then put together in a project that
includes some type of creative media presentation.

Khuzamas role has been to motivate the teachers and students in her group to share
information on a timely basis, develop project ideas, create student work, deliver work in
a timely manner, and develop final projects and presentations. Khuzama has
accomplished this through constant communication and encouragement. She also models
ideal behavior by leading her own students through the same process. Khuzama always
puts extra effort into creating extra motivational graphics and awards to motivate both her
teachers and students. She has established effective communication and project
recording materials that have allowed the participants in her group to know where they
are at each step of the process. Khuzama also shares online Web tools that participants
can use to develop projects. In addition to this, she has created Web sites to feature
student work. Khuzama has consistently modeled new online tools to motivate other
teachers. After she has done this, she has then helped other participants to use new tools
to display the work of their own students. Each session facilitated by Khuzama has
resulted in a successful collaborative project-based learning experience. The work of her
groups is always featured online on our Learning Circles Web site at:
http://www.globallearningcircles.org/.

Over the past seven years, Khuzama has displayed a consistent record of leadership and
success. She has displayed proven effectiveness, developed an extensive list of
professional achievements, and shown exemplary record of service to the international
community of educators. With full confidence, I give Khuzama Almomani my highest
recommendation.

Sincerely,

Barry S. Kramer, Ph.D.
