My placement is at the YMCA, Our Lady of Peace School and I am doing an

extended day program with children ages four to five years old. My artifact was
given to me by child M. It is a heart shaped paper with orange post it notes and
scribbles all over the paper. Child M gave it to me and called it a flower. This
artifact shows about me as a student, is that I have formed authentic relationships
with the children and they have noticed my genuine hard work that I put in my
placement. Child M giving me the flower demonstrates his appreciation and
affection towards me as a student and as an ECE teacher. Furthermore, Child M
sees me as his ECE teacher and he listens to me and respects me as his teacher. The
type of educator that I am becoming is one that the children look up to as a role
model and one that is loved by everyone because of my positive attitude, loving
and caring towards the children. My passionate love for children is genuinely
showing in my work as an ECE and the children, especially child M notices it. The
type of educator that I want to become is one that loves the work that I do as an
educator and has a burning passion for children. My artifact is saying that my
students love me as an ECE educator. I will cherish the memories that the children
and I have had together.
