1. What is the main topic of the article? What is its significance in our study of Biblical apologetics?
The article is about evangelization of our times and the effect to it of the holistic integration of the person of
Jesus Christ in contrast to the lapse of living out the faith in recent periods. The article is relevant to the study of
biblical apologetics in the sense that it highlights the need for an apologetics deeply rooted in living the faith
rather than in simply convincing people to believe by presenting arguments.

2. What particular branch or field of apologetics is employed here by the author?

The author used the methods of Experiential Apologetics, as seen in the recounting of the experiences of
the Church in recent decades. He evaluated the culture of the different years and saw their decay in the being
rootless in the integration of the Gospels core values in their lives. He then recounts the experience of renewal
started by the recent Council and saw in it a deeper appreciation of living the Gospel as the most effective
apologetic argument.

3. What caught your attention while reading this article and why?
Archbishop Augustine di Noias statement, cited by the author, caught my attention. He said, We need a
confident evangelizing spirit and a robust but not overbearing apologetics. This statement, located at the center
of the article, is central to the understanding of the rest of the text. It puts to a connection all the statement
previously made and brings out the message that authentic witnessing is needed to enliven the Catholic culture
of our times.

4. What do you expect from this subject Biblical Apologetics? Why is it significant that you learn from your
expectation?
I expect to learn the Biblical roots of the tenets of the faith, and will be able to try to defend them should they be
put to question. My expectation is a guide to what I would primarily search for in the subject, so it contributes to
a greater retention of learning on my part.
