OPERATING PRINCIPLE
TX 35A consists of an inner and outer casing and a duct in the form of an aluminium heat ex-
changer. The unit replaces indoor air by fresh outdoor air and thereby improves the indoor cli-
mate.
The aluminium heat exchanger (6) utilises warm indoor heat to heat up the fresh outdoor air. The
heat exchanger's function is heat recovery.
The air supply motor (5) creates inflow of fresh outdoor air through the exchanger (6) and the
insect net (10), leading the inflow through a filter (3) and further through the air supply grate (1)
and out into the room.
The exhaust fan (11) leads the indoor air through the filter (4) and the exchanger (6) and further
through the air exhaust grate (7) to the outdoor.

16
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The purpose of the ventilation system is to achieve a better indoor air quality. The TX 75A has two
fans which, through a heat exchanger, supplies the same amount of air as is extracted. The purpo-
se of the heat exchanger is to heat the colder supply air by transferring heat from the hotter ex-
haust air, minimizing the heat loss by approximately 85 percent.

The airflow can be regulated by a CO2 sensor (optional), which ensures a proper air exchange in
relation to the room activity.

The outdoor air is drawn into the inlet fan and blown through the filter. Then the air moves through
the heat exchanger and the supply air diffuser distributes the air into the room.

The indoor air is extracted through filter and heat exchanger by the exhaust fan. The exhaust air is
then blown outdoor.

20
LOCATION

The system is generally placed in the wall adjacent to a

window, with the supply air diffuser near the ceiling. This
placement allows use of the Coanda effect, which brings
the fresh air further into the room. Hereby the air has
better time to mix, which will reduce the feeling of draft.

Wall or window installation

A reinforcement must be mounted between the window
and the ventilation unit, which allows the window to be
fixed with the correct number of screws according to the
locally applicable building regulations. In order to fit the
mounting frame, the gap size must be minimum 200
mm wide and 1210 mm tall.

Mounting screws

Use appropriate screws when

securing the mounting frame to
wall or reinforcement. Connect
the unit to the electrical installa-
tion and mount the unit in the
frame using the four supplied
M6 machine screws. The
mounting holes are placed near
the air filters, and the two lower
holes can be accessed by re-
moving the filter cover. Finish
the installation by sealing
around the unit.

22
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The unit has a built-in counter flow heat exchanger and two balanced EC motors. The fans extract
air from the room while supplying fresh air from outdoors. The heat exchange utilizes the heat of
the return air for heating the cooler fresh air.

Airflow:
The air supply fan (1) draws in fresh outdoor air through the filter (3), 3
heat exchanger (2), and out the diffuser at the top into the room.
The exhaust fan (4) draws in air from the grills in the bottom and si-
des, through the filter (5), through the heat exchanger (2), and then
blow it out in the return channel in the back.

Bypass:
When opening the bypass damper (6), the return air will bypass the 2
heat exchanger. Therefore the outdoor air supplied to the room will
not be heated.
5
Control:
At the control panel (7) you can set the desired temperature of the
supply air. A sensor detects the current temperature of the inlet air,
and if this is lower than the set value, the controller will slow down 6
the air supply fan. This causes a better heat exchanger efficiency and
consequently warmer supply air.
