Bridge-In (Focus student attention)


Ask students to define the work teamwork
Make a web on the board of students ideas

Procedure
1. Explain that we want school to be a positive place
2. Ask, Why is teamwork important?
3. Give each table of students some blocks
4. Explain to the students that each table has to build a tower, TOGETHER
5. Stress that this is not a competition or a race

Guided Practice (Application of knowledge: classroom activities for students, problem to


solve, etc.)
Students will work together as a team to build a tower

Reflection (Recap key concepts, helps students consolidate knowledge)


Ask, How can we use teamwork at school?

Check for Understanding (What questions will you ask and when to determine students

Counselor will recap teamwork

Procedure
1. Ask, Why is teamwork important?
2. Explain that we will be writing a story about yhis picture of a sun passed around to them in the
circle
3. Explain that when it gets to them, they are to make up one line of the story to go with the one
before
4. The counselor will write their story on a large sheet of paper

Students will work together as a team to write a story
