Feedback on INFORIA

March, 2017
INFORIA once again was received with enthusiasm by the teachers of Shafiq Memorial
School and the teachers of MBEL.
The teachers of Shafiq Memorial School commented that they read all the articles and saw
the videos mentioned. They particularly found the video-Teaching Methods for Inspiring
the Students of the Future by Joe Ruhl, very interesting.
Anjali Sharma shared, This video attracts me more because it deals with the students
choice. According to me, learning happens when we are self-motivated. So, when we talk
about self-motivation then choices play a very important role and through these self-choices
students can develop skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.
Another video which caught the interest of the teachers was History of Technology in
Education.
Zeeshan and Emmon teachers from Shafiq Memorial School commented, There have been
many videos pertaining to how we can use technology in our classrooms, but very few have
been made on such a topic. The animation was very good.
Creating Rich Learning Environmentwas one more article that was enjoyed by a number
of teachers .
Radhika once again from Shafiq Memorial School commented, It focuses on learning
being accessible to each and every individual at the school level to make one self-reliant to
look inside and develop ones potential.
Design of Rich Learning Environments for Diverse Learning Contexts (Kirti Trivedi)
Vaishali from Shafiq Memorial School quoted the following reaction of the students to use of
technology in the classroom:
Technology has made our life so easy and comfortable that we can access any reading
material or any kind of knowledge at any point of time and anywhere. Through this method
of teaching, students are actively involved in teaching learning process and take initiatives &
interest in searching new knowledge that they want to know. For example, in our future
classroom at Shafiq Memorial School when I was taking a class, students were asked to
search some videos on angles, polygons etc. then some of them said Madam, ..hume
aur dhekhna hai yeh angles (topic) par videos, kyunki aise toh kabhi hum
ko samjhaya hi nahi gaya andkya aisi videos hum ghar par apne
computer par dhekh skte hai?. They came to me and said that
.madam humara free period h please aap chrome lab mein leke chalo,
humko aur videos dhekhni hai, last class mein dhekhni reh gyi thi. There
is direct impact of this kind of teaching method upon students - first curiosity emerges among
students regarding a concept; secondly, they learn by doing themselves not just by listening,
like they do in a traditional classroom where teacher is the dictator of knowledge and students
are just passive listener. As Paulo Friere also described banking concept of education that
teachers are like depositor of knowledge and students are like receiver of that knowledge.
Thirdly, paper can be saved through this kind of teaching method like we can take assessment
through it.
This time we also got a feedback from the teachers of MBEL. They found INFORIA very
informative and agreed with Mr. Vagish Jha that education needs to change and found
INFORIA a good platform, as they could find links to read, listento and watch information on
new pedagogy.
Saleem a teacher from Muradabad Bareli Expressway Ltd. (MBEL) shared, First I would
like to say thanks to IL&FS to give me an opportunity to write my views on the feedback on
Mrs. Jyotiba Phule for her commendable efforts for women education...In my view
Education is an important requirement for human life. It is as much necessary as food, clothes
and shelter. Women who cover half of the present total population must not be left
uneducated and in darkness. Their duties do not end in cooking and feeding. A woman of a
house has a much wider range of work to do than a man has. She has a greater need of
education than a man does. It is thought that both man and woman must be equally educated
and they are like the two wings of a bird.

Nafees, Mohiuddin, Hemant and Alok from MBEL particularly enjoyed the reading about
Democracy and the work of Mrs. Jyotiba Phule.
