Christian Testimony

I was born and raised in a christian home, although my parents were relatively new to the

christian faith. My parents, also being young christians, attended a few churches before

eventually settling at Calvary Chapel Vista. It is here at this church that I started growing my

faith. At six years old, I first accepted Christ but I didnt exactly know what I had done. When I

was around the age of nine, one of my younger brothers, Noah died in a tragic drowning

accident. I really didnt know how to deal with it as a nine year old and I spent most of the time

afterwords doing my best to distract myself and my family, relatives and friends at church did

there very best to keep my mind off of it. When someone close to you dies you always wonder

what you could've done differently to have spent more time with them. God showed me that it

was all a part of his plan and to keep my eyes on Him. In 2011 on a Jr. High summer camp up in

Big Bear I accepted Christ with full understanding of what I was doing. Since then I have

continued to grow in my faith and now as a senior I lead a small group once a at least month

after the study. Leading the group has encouraged and challenged me to dig deeper into the word

because I dont want to be leading people the wrong way or confusing the young freshman that

are doing their best to understand. And we know that in all things God works for the

good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose
