1 Introduction
This is a release note for ASTRIX 5.9.5 and contains a description of new or
changed features, a list of resolved problems since version 5.9.4 and a list of
remaining known problems.

2 New or changed functionality

Propagation Model List

In the Propagation Model Entry List it is no longer possible to make a copy of a
model and keep using the same model file as the original model does. i.e. when
copying a model the model file will now always be copied.

The Copy Entry button has been removed and the Copy Entry and Model button
has been renamed to Copy.

 Field strength
Field strength (not signal level) shown for single cell coverage plot and in Track >
Single coverage > Field strength is based on the reference power value:
For GSM this is the Signal Level (RX).
For UMTS this is the CPICH RSCP level.
For LTE this is the RSRP level.

Formula for field strength is

/ = + 20 log10 ( ) + 77.2
Where EdBV/m is field strength in dBV/m,
PdBm is reference power value in dBm,
fMHz is frequency in MHz.

3 Resolved issues
In ASTRIX 5.9.5 the following issues have been resolved:

4 Known issues
Some known problems in ASTRIX 5.9.5 are listed below.

General
When doing single coverage tracking while calculating the cell must be
reselected after recalculated to see the values in the new raster.

 In Export Raster module un-checking the Export over water check-box will
not have any effect for other sampling methods than Centre.
Problems editing antenna pattern when opened from Antenna List dialog.
Work-around: Edit pattern file outside ASTRIX and restart.
Some ASTRIX layers are not printed:
o The Compare Coverage difference plot when comparing coverage files
for the same cell.
o Coordinate Grid.

Database
Radio Link Repeaters are not saved to database.
Radio Link Hop Chains are not saved to database.

5 Software components

Database
ASTRIX 5.9.5 requires ASTRIX DALService 3.9, build 20150210.1 or newer,
supporting ASTRIX 6.0 database schema.
ASTRIX 5.9.5 requires ASTRIX Publisher 4.0 build 20150113.1 or newer for
official coverage file validation.

Map engine
ASTRIX 5.9.5 uses map engine MARIA Component version 5.4.9.
