RESUMO
This work has the purpose of discussing the theoretical fundamentals of the interdisciplinary
curriculum based on the analysis of the pedagogical project adopted by Universidade Federal
do ABC, which is innovative for its peculiarities in Brazil. The research focuses its study on
the classical theory principles related to syllabus questions; it makes a system of quality
indicators for the continuous evaluation of possible results that the project can reach. The field
of evaluation of quality associated with the theory of the curriculum was chosen because it
represents the ideas which have been coming out of educational changes that have been taking
place in the present century. These emergent ideas originate reference proposals which will be
able to result in the appearance of an effective interdisciplinary school organization. The work
leads to the conclusion that there are basic problems to be solved in the analyzed pedagogical
project and shows how an inadequate curriculum practice turns ineffective the intended
educational quality.
