Religious Discrimination
The vision of the boy flickered as the boy was starving. The villagers all sneered and
pointed their fingers at him. The boys family was dead, and he had barely enough food, or
money to last this week. Death was at his doorstep. The juvenile was depressed, and hated
taking in this new hope of Jesus saving them from their sins. The boy thought, if their family
had never been christians, he wouldnt be the only survivor left to die. He knelt down at his
parents shrine at the side of the road and longed to see them again. We need to solve this
problem for religious discrimination since it cause many other consequences. This includes the
lack of food distribution from the government, no money, and extremism against its people.
In North Korea, people must keep religion a secret even from their families (Religious
Discrimination). If one is caught even by their family, the defendant is automatically transported
to a prison camp where they are sentenced to work to death or to be murdered. Once, people
were ordered to gather in the public arena and witness the public shooting of 13 christians (Life
Inside North Korea). To grant religious freedom for all, the United States needs to give North
Korea a heads up. We need to change Korean government so that people can trust each other
and not live in fear of their leader. Personally, religious discrimination is just like the other types
government has to be abolished. The dictator needs to repeal his laws so that people can live
freely. North Koreas leader, Kim jong un, needs to understand that a country will remain loyal if
treated well, not under force. While learning how much the people of North Korea have suffered
we must present this issue under the spotlight so that this treachery can end. North Korea isnt
too late to save. To relieve their people from their suffering, we must give them hope. To do this,
one idea would be to send necessities to them to help those who need it most. To have a new
hope in North Korea, we need to inspire people to tell their story thus to persuade the Korean
It is time to stop, stop the dictatorship that is ruining many lives in North Korea. To
achieve world happiness, we must achieve religious freedom first. Religious discrimination can
be a threat if it becomes out of hand. For example, it can lead to extremism and terrorism. In
Israel, there are many terrorist causing havoc without anyone to stop them. Inside of North
Korea, the dictator is torturing its people and forcing them to be loyal with fear. Sometimes even
killing them. As clearly stated by Thomas Jefferson, All men want life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness. This means that all people want and deserve liberty and happiness, just like those in
North Korea.
To save North Korea, we must send the people supplies. As shown in one of the articles
about torture in North Korea, it states, North Korea found that there is almost complete denial
of the right to freedom of thought conscience and religion as well as the right to freedom of
innocent lives from dying. All humans are the same, and we have humans rights that we cannot
take away. This quote says that all humans are equal and that they need to have equality. This
statement applies to Religious Discrimination and Religious Freedom because, these poor
Shih-3
citizens of North Korea all deserve the same set of rights. Just like the Chinese scholar,
Confucius said, there is no difference of people People need to be equal all over the world
The people of North Korea need hope. These inhabitants under Kim-jong-un have lived
under fear for hundreds of year with no end to this cruel concept of communism. Through their
beliefs, some are even tortured to death for it. For example, to relieve stress from the prison
guards, they will often tie their inmates to a wooden pole, and beat them until they coughed
blood. Sometimes, inmates would be cuffed to a wall 60 cm from the ground and be beaten till
they were bleeding. To end their cruel suffering, we need to end religious discrimination and
To change North Korea, we must provide its people with the freedom of religion. Though
many will die, it will be for a just cause that can change the world. To end the hundreds of years
that North Korea is ruling at, we must end this defensive fight. The United States pledge states
that, they will provide justice and freedom for all including people outside of the United States of
America. So if our goals for this nation are not met, the pledge is useless, saying that only the
United States is the only unique country that has freedom for its citizens. Freedom and justice is
what North Korea needs, so that it can solve these problems involving religious discrimination,
and granting its people religious freedom for all its citizens and changing the world from a
nuclear war to peace that will not end. It's time to stop. Dictatorships are over, and North Korea
needs to understand that with freedom, comes loyalty that cannot end. The golden rule states,
Treat people how you want to be treated. Hopefully, North Korea will be saved from the
gripping hands of religious discrimination, and provide its citizens a new world to live in.
