Observations/ Account Reflections & Critical Response
(What Happened?) (What do I think of it? What went well? What
could be improved? How? What will I do
differently? How does this connect to the theory I
have read from class?)

Each group has interesting, and wonderful Most of them were reading not presenting.
creation for presentation but mostly Their voices were rarely audible and they
reading not presenting (Teacher was likely did not make eye-contact with the
disappointed) audience. I think they probably were
feeling shy or nervous because of new
people being in the classroom observing
them. Another thing could be they were not
well prepared because they did not have
much time. If I were the teacher, I would
do two things. The first one is providing
extra time (for 10 minutes) to practice in
class, before presentation goes on and the
second one is reminding specific
information about the rubric (what the
teacher expects from presentation, only the
content knowledge? Or what about the
characteristics of a good presenter?). In
these ways, students would know what to
expect and hopefully, the presentation
would go better.

To check how much individual student

contributes their efforts during preparation
Students had to grade themselves and their as the teacher would not know who did
what and how much they did? This is
peers using a rubric
similar to what we are doing in Alignment
class. This is also a great opportunity for
the students to assess and to provide their
opinions on their friends participation with
honesty. It will at least give the teacher
general information about their
preparation. I saw this is a good idea and I
will use this kind of assessment in the
future as well.
