While watching the video students will be filing out a handout that goes along with the video content.
Students will then bring the handout back to class the next day to go along with the activity.
III.In-Class Lesson Study DAY 2
Anticipatory Set (10 mins)
Okay class before we get into the activity for this lesson I want to make sure everyone
watched and understood Think Before You Respond video.
Everyone go ahead and get out your class IPad and get onto Kahoot for a quick review
game, the class code is on the screen. (https://create.kahoot.it/create#/edit/8da78abf-

logged into the review.
Go through the Kahoot questions and explain any areas that the students are unclear on
or need more explanation.
After completing Kahoot, Okay class I are there any other questions over the video?
Allow time for students to ask their questions and respond to as many questions as
possible.

Today we are going to learn about how to express our feelings of anger or frustration in safe and

others and how to respond to others over their feelings.

Activity:
For todays activities, I will be putting everyone into groups of five to work on each activity section in
the classroom.

section.
The sections are

Identifying how to tell if others are feeling anger by watching short videos over different
emotions.
Creating their own 5 steps of how to calm down visual list.
Creating counting beads and stress slim with a paraprofessional.

Adaptations:
For students who have a harder time staying on task I will be walking around the room and helping
them redirect back to the task.
For students who have low functioning fine motor skills I will have the paraprofessional help the
