A. Motivation

Class, I will be playing a video clip kindly listen (Students watching the video clip.)
and observe attentively.

Now, what can you say about the video clip? The video clip that you played Maam is a
sample of TV commercial which conveys
promotions of insurance.

advertisement. It was declared as Best Advertisement in
2014 in the entire world.

B. Presentation

I let you watch the video clip because for todays


lesson we will be discussing the different types of
advertising.

Let us first define advertising. In your own Maam, advertising is one way of
communicating to the public what available product
understanding, what is advertising? or services that a business man is selling or
providing.

Thats right. Advertising is an effective way of


promoting your products and services to your target
audience and is usually a paid form of promotion. When
you advertise you tell prospective customers who you
are, where you are and what you can do for them. Also,
advertising is use to educate people for example the
Bureau of Fire Protection, they use television
advertisement to impart to the public the important of
fire prevention awareness. .

C. Discussion

Now, we will be discussing the types of advertising.


There are six types of advertising:
1. Newspaper, Magazine, and Directories
2. Radio
3. Television
4. Outdoor and Transit
5. Direct Mail, Brochures, and Leaflets
6. Online

I will be dividing the class into six groups. Kindly (Students count from 1 to 6)
count. One, two, and three

Instructions:
1. Students go to respective groupings.
2. Each group will be assigned to discuss one types
of advertising and one representative will have
to report on the class on what they discussed.
3. For 15 minutes discuss within the group the
assigned topic base on this following guidelines:
a. Uses and purpose
b. Advantages and disadvantages
c. User/patroniser (Ex. Businessmen)
d. Target market or audience of the ad
4. One representative of the group will pick one
topic in the box.

longer, giving the advertisement multiple chances to
attract attention.

market listens to a particular station, then regular
advertising can attract new customers. But a sound has
its limitations. Listeners can find it difficult to remember
what they have heard and sometimes the impact of radio
advertising is lost. So the best way to overcome this is to
repeat the message regularly which also increases your
cost.

Television has an extensive reach and
ideal for a large market in a large area
but it is costly.

advantage of sight, sound, movement and colour to
persuade a customer to buy. Particularly useful if you
need to demonstrate how your product or service works.

programme, and whether it is metro or regional.

Okay class, we will be having an activity with the


same groupings it is called Advertising Situations
Activity.

Instructions:
1. Teacher will give advertising situation and
student need to identify what advertising
should be use.
2. Student will be given different choices and they
have to choice the best answer and post it on
the board.
3. The first group who post the best answer on the
board will received the points
4. Group who has the highest score will be
declared as grand winner and will be given a
prize.

Advertising Situations
1. For three (3) points. You want to sell a new
