5/24/2016 Dave Velez Field Check Need More Info Date: 5/24/2016 Field check for two-story
hotel. Need to revise plans to include full
scope of work. Need plot plan showing paths
of travel and parking. Plans to show entire
building with areas being improved and
square footage noted. 1) Plans need to show
areas where additional framing has been
done; including columns wrapped
throughout, dropped ceilings and ceiling
features in common spaces including
meeting room, lounge, and breezeway
connecting common areas to rooms. Need to
remove sheetrock installed without approval.
2) Bathrooms in lobby area have been re-
tiled throughout. Unable to determine if
blocking for grab bars are in place. Plumbing
appears to be existing. 3) All bedrooms have
been improved. Including new bathroom
countertops and lavatories, new shower
surrounds, new carpeting and paint. Unable
to determine if any new plumbing was done
in showers. There appear to be new mixing
valves in most (if not all) bedroom showers.
May need to expose certain areas at request
of inspector. 4) Path of travel to include
access to all bedrooms. This means that
stairs, landings and handrails need to meet
code. 5) New sidewalk ramps (from parking
lot) on plans, will need to re-stripe and install
new signs for accessible parking. 6) Scope to
include repairs to swimming pool and pool
area. 7) Valuation to be determined upon
receiving accurate specifications of scope and
square footage. Will most likely be in
$750,000 to $1,250,000 range.

prefab hallway area. Wallboard also okay in
ballroom for accent lighting drop down areas
in ceiling.
11/18/2016 Robert Bernal Frame Partial Date: 11/18/2016 for final in the lobby in
conference room: 1. OFD approval is
required. 2. All trade approvals are required.
3. Landings are required at each exterior exit
door of the lobby with maximum 1/2"
threshold. 4. Bathroom accessibility signage
is required. 5. Parking signage and path of
travel is T/C.
12/1/2016 Robert Bernal Final Building Partial Date: 12/1/2016 Progress made, signage for
restrooms is complete. All other issues are
still outstanding. Note: the contractor is
contemplating permanently closing off doors
in the lobby. It was suggested that he check
with his plan checker to see which doors and
how many are required to remain unlocked
and operable at all times.
