Glass Drop resembles a white-hot drop of glass before it takes shape.

Its blown glass body is coated with chromed aluminium giving it a double life. When it is switched off it is the
decorative effect of its mirrored surfaces which dominates, when it is switched on a warm light filters through its
iridescent diffuser. The gently undulating shape of the upper part harmoniously accentuates its droplet effect.
Glass Drop is particularly striking in a multiple installation, like a jewel made up of many pendants. Linear or
round, Foscarini's multiple ceiling flange allows you put up to nine suspension lamps together, combining
functionality with a harmonious look.

diffuser is made of glossy finish hand-blown net lbs: 3,97 - compact fluorescent 1x15W E26
glass; the conical surface undergoes gross lbs: 6,17
vacuum metallising, a technique that
renders the glass polished and reflective Packing - incandescent 1x60W E26 medium type A
like metal when off. The shape of the glass vol. cub. ft: 0,777
at the top is slightly undulated to accentuate n.boxes: 1
the drop effect. When the lamp is turned off, Certifications
it looks like chromed metal, whereas it turns
into a warm pale grey colour when the lamp
is on. The mount is made of injection
moulded and vacuum metallised
thermoplastic material with the Diesel logo
in relief. Stainless steel suspension cable
and transparent electrical cable, ceiling
flange with galvanised metal bracket and
matt black batch-dyed ABS cover. Electric
decentralisation kit available, as well as
multiple canopies for compositions up to 6-9
lamps.

In 2009, Foscarini signed a partnership agreement with Diesel as
part of the "Home Collection" home furnishings and lifestyle
project. This partnership has given Foscarini the opportunity to
make contact with a new target clientele and explore new lifestyles
and furnishing trends through a collection conceived by Diesel for
its own target group: "Successful Living from Diesel with
Foscarini".

The Diesel with Foscarini collection speaks a range of different

languages - from rock to pop, industrial to vintage, graphics to art -
to illustrate the unmistakable Diesel lifestyle. Ironic, transgressive,
eclectic, incandescent, the collection is made up of over 40
different lamp models. The collection is structured into a range of
forms, materials and intended uses, lending itself to unexpected
and unconventional settings, from domestic to public
environments, always with a strong personality. The materials
selected and researched for Foscarini, and perhaps even more so
in the Diesel with Foscarini collection, are of the utmost
importance. Materials which have never before been used in the
lighting industry are the collections added value.
