America
By. Sofia Romerv Campbell
How can we be a tapestry of many threads, yet still feel as though our colors, our voices,
not being heard?
“Success is the sum of all efforts repeated day
and day out,”
So maybe we're just not working hard enough?
So many success stories come to mind, but how can I be someone and find. A way to speak
up, a way to reach out, because when you think about it, isn't that what our country is all
about?
“Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps,” but what if you don’t have any boots?
‘The one percent is in cahoots.
How can we be a nation where we claim to have salvation, but one after another there's a
scandal.
Seems ike it's starting to get too much for the police and the NFL to handle.
‘As Americans I know we are a crooked kind of perfect, but why can’t we hold ourselves to
higher expectations?
Stop giving the money to the wealthiest corporations.
Start bul
ing a government with better relations.
We are not broken, we just need to change!
I don’t quite know what that is yet, but ifwe arrange. We can be @ beautifil hue one that
encompasses both
Me and
You.
