FOREWORD

The monthly Economic Indicators is a regular publication of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). It presents the
latest available monthly statistical indicators of the levels and trends of the country's economic activities and
performance. These indicators have been carefully identified to meet the varying needs of policy-makers, decision-
makers and other researchers for more relevant data.

To guide data users towards a more meaningful analysis of economic behavior and events, the indicators are presented
in a moving thirteen-month time series. In addition, the Summary Tables of the Quarterly Economic Indices of the
Philippines: First Quarter 2013 to Second Quarter 2014 are included as special feature for this issue.
