Wildlife Photographer

a) Job description: Wildlife photography is a genre of

photography concerned with documenting various forms of
wildlife in their natural habitat.

b) Starting salary: Many wildlife photographers are self-

employed and work on a freelance basis so their salaries
vary widely. The average annual wage of all photographers is
$40,280 per year, or $19.37 per hour

c) High school requirements: no requirements needed

d) Post-Secondary requirements: It is not necessary to attend

college to begin a career as a wildlife photographer,
although a degree or courses in photography may be an
asset.

e) Favorite things about the career: My favorite things about

this career is that it is all outdoor work and being able to
capture and see animals in their habitats and purest form.

f) Drawbacks about the career:

- being injured by animals

-working in all sorts of environments and weather
-competition is very high
-have to be alert of all around you
a) My initial reaction to this photo is that it is so in the

3 moment and majestic.

b) This
photo is
very
texturized
and
captures
the raw
effects of
the photo
with the
blood and
water
spraying
and the

background blurred out behind.

c) The focal point to me is the fish and the water spraying really
stands out.

Travel Photography
a) Job description: The travel photographer visits the world known tourist
places and other places of historic and tourism significance, and captures the
places in the form of photos, so that he can use these photos to promote the
places among the tourists and other travelers across the globe.

b) Starting salary: $28,000

c) Education and qualifications:

-At least a bachelors or an equivalent degree in any subject.
-Certification in photography course from a reputed institution.
-Previous work experience in photography related job is highly
advantageous.
e) Favorite things about the career: My favorite things about this career is
that you would be able to travel and see the world and capture and
document it through images.

f) Drawbacks about the career: you would be always away from home or
would just be living out of a bag
with no fixed address and could
get very expensive travelling.

My initial reaction to this

photograph is that I really like
the perspective of how the
photo is taken down the
winding river. I like the
reflection of the lights on the
water and the way the
buildings hit the horizon. The
focal point is hard to distinguish
but I think the most noticeable
thing is the boat going across
the river.

Creation:
photo 1 wildlife photography
photo 2- Travel
Final:
a) The images that I have chosen are appropriate because one
is wildlife and the other one is travel.
b) What I like best about my final piece is that I could have the
eagle sitting on the tree branch overlooking the city.
c) If I could change it I would learn how to blend the eagle Into
the background better and make it look more realistic.
