David Beckham

My autobiography

David Beckham playing with PSG

!1
My Beginning
Chapter 1

I was born on May 2, 1975 in London. My father was a appliance repairman and
my mother was a hairstylist. My family was obsessed with football so it was fitting
that I was a natural at the game. I even won the Bobby Charleston Soccer Schools
National Skills Competition at only the age of 11. I was luckily enough to be
noticed by my dream club Manchester United, By 16 I left my house to train with
them and 2 years later I made the full squad and was finally starting. If you had
told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood
club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100
times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you
it was a fantasy. I'm fortunate to have realized those dreams. - David Beckham

I spent little time getting adjusted and I through some miracle we won our first
season. I won my first major award 2 years later which was the PFA young player
of the year. And I even got to play for my national team. However that didn't turn
out the best. In my 1998 World Cup I made a horrible decision. When after being
fouled by Diego Simone and reacted by tripping him. This incident gave me a red

card and cost us the game. I was criticized for months and it was something I
regretted for years. But I while I was getting ridiculed on the field I was having an
amazing life off the field. I got a sponsorship deal with Adidas, earned 1.3 million
dollars, and more important met the love of my life Victoria. I met Vitoria in 1997
while she was known as "Posh Spice" and was one of the three singers in the spice
girls. We had a whirlwind relationship and on March 4 1999 Victoria gave birth to
my first son Brooklyn Joseph. Two years later we got married in Dublin, Ireland.

My Career
Chapter 2

After I got married my career really started to pick up. That same year we won not
only the league but also the FA cup which was a first for me. And in 2001 won I
scored one of my most famous goal against Greece to get us to the World Cup
(https://m.youtube.com/?client=mv-google). And signed a 3 year 22 million dollar
contract with Manchester United. A huge surprise came though when I was traded
to Real Madrid. This was do to a disagreement between me a Alex fergeson I still
thought he was the best manger I've had I even said "Alex Ferguson is the best
manager I've ever had at this level. Well, he's the only manager I've actually had at
this level. But he's the best manager I've ever had." - David Beckham

It was an exciting time and even thought only played 155 games and won two titles
(the Super cup and the league championship in the 2006- 2007 season) Played my
best there. It also helped that I played with legends like Zinedine Zidane, Roberto
Carlos, and Ronaldo de Lima.

The End of My Career

Chapter 3

It was 2006, there was a new election for the club president and Ramn Caldern
was elected. He hired all new staff including Fabio Capello as the new head coach.
What differed between Fabio and the old head coach is that Fabio preferred to out
side wings to center midfielders. So because of this new formation I didn't start,
tensions grew, and when it came time to renew my contract Ramn announced
that I would be going to LA Galaxy. Sadly my soccer career was coming to a close,
I was bouncing back from loan to club and even though I won two MLS cups after
going to PSG I retired from soccer a year later. "In my career, there's many things
I've won and many things I've achieved, but for me, my greatest achievement is my

children and my family. It's about being a good father, a good husband, just being
connected to family as much as possible." - David Beckham

Conclusion
Chapter 5
In conclusion soccer has brought me joy, pain, love, hate, and has forever changed
my life. Furthermore it has brought me a new perspective on life and has taught me
to be grateful for the time I was lucky enough to play and for the opportunities I
received. I owe my career to my family, coaches and most of all every single one of
my fans for supporting me through the good and bad, for all 20 years, from the
start as a 16 kid just realizing his dream to a 38 year old who will be forever grateful
for the support he received.
