Marla Shepherd and Kelly Butler are sisters
from Winslow, Arkansas, who had struggled
with being overweight their entire lives. After
having lost and regained literally hundreds of
pounds over the years, they began entertaining
the idea of gastric bypass. After doing a lot of
reading, research, and talking to people, they
found Dr. Gorospe. Both agree that the day
they came to the informational seminar was the
start of their new lives. That was in March
2007. Both had gastric bypass on January 17,
2008. Together they have lost 280 pounds and
have gained a whole new life. Both Marla and
Kelly feel that having gastric bypass is the best

 DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9-inch

baking pan with vegetable cooking spray and set
aside.
In a frying pan over medium heat melt butter and
sauté the onion, garlic, and Splenda until golden
and soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in spinach and
heat through. In a large bowl beat together the
eggs, cottage cheese, milk, flour, salt, pepper,
nutmeg, and cayenne. Stir in the onion-spinach
mixture and the parmesan and cheddar cheeses.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35-40
minutes, or until just set in the middle. Makes 8
servings.
