 INSPIRATION
The law is a solid structure, along with marble, but as the marble is chiseled to perfection on each application, the lawyers chisel the law into what is right for the
people and the community. This is seen through the marble in the flooring and on the counter tops.

This idea of perfection is also shown with the color blue and all it represents. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence and stability.

The modular items throughout the space represent the straight lines and connecting paths that we all need to follow to keep a righteous and just community.

SITE
Located in a Historic District in the Central West End of St. Louis, the area is known as Holy Corners because there is a church
on nearly every corner for two blocks of Kings highway. The Central West End Neighborhood is one of the most vibrant and interesting
neighborhoods in St. Louis dense with shops, restaurants and professional offices, the area is also home to one of the largest medical
campuses in the country Washington University and BJC. To the west of the building is a residential neighborhood featuring homes built
in anticipation of the 1904 Worlds Fair. Built in 1932, the building originally served as a community center for the Synagogue to the
west of the building. With a large auditorium, the building was used for meeting, classroom space and offices. Later, the St. Louis Public
schools used the building as the Metro High School until a new building was built for Metro. The space we are using is located on the 3rd floor.
It forms a U shape. As part of the design, there is an opportunity to use the interior court to create an outside space and/or a walk way.
