Destruction of life Itself

There are two victims in every abortion: a dead baby and a dead conscience, (Mother

Teresa). For many years, people have argued that abortion is a womans right. Others say that

its no ones right to decide to destroy a life. Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human

pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion was an issue

before that, otherwise it wouldn't have gotten to the Supreme Court in the United States in 1973

when the case Roe vs. Wade was decided in the Supreme Court of United States. Roe was Norma

McCorvey who believed that it was her right to have an abortion. Wade is Henry Wade, a district

attorney of Dallas, who was against abortion. The U.S Supreme Courts is final ruling was that

women have the legal right to abortion under the fourteen amendment. Yet, many Americans are

against the Supreme Court decision because it is unjust for women to take away new life.

Additionally, abortion should be illegal in the United States to open the door of opportunity for

new life. Abortion causes mental and physical issues to women, increases the rate of committing

suicide, and negates the chance of opportunity and life.

To begin, the act of abortion has been known for causing horrific physical and mental

problems. Eight out of every ten women who commit the act of abortion have at least one

physical or mental issue, but some may have even more due to the unsafe process. For example,

Cervical damage from previously induced abortion increases the risk of miscarriage, premature

birth, and complications of labor during later pregnancies by 300-500 percent, (Reardon 2).

Many women who have committed abortion experience emotional breakdown due to the fact life

has been interrupted. For instance, Within 8 weeks after their abortion, 55% expressed guilt,

44% complained of nervous disorders 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets

about their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family

doctor, (Reardon 3). Psychologically, abortion also may lead to the thought of committing a

suicidal act.

In addition, women who have had an abortion in their life have more chance to commit

suicide because of the mental issues of the abortion. Woman who had an abortion have more

chance of committing suicide compared to woman who dont have an abortion. To illustrate,

That study also found that the increase risk of death was most prominent from suicides and

accidents, with a 154 percent higher risk of death from suicide and an 82 percent higher risk of

death from accidental injuries.

This data is comparing the death of a suicide due to an abortion to accidental deaths. In other

Previous studies have also linked abortion to higher rates of substance abuse, anxiety, sleep

disorders, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric illness, relationship problems, and risk-taking behavior,

any of which may increase a womens risk of death by suicide or accident.

Moreover, suicide increases after an abortion, thus creating two deaths instead of one new life.

Above all, the option of abortion is an option which negates the chance of life and

opportunity. Every second an abortion is conducted in the world; therefore, that is every second

there is one new life that never gets a chance to live in world. In particular,

Upon fertilization, a human individual is created with a unique genetic identity that remains

unchanged throughout his or her life. This individual has a fundamental right to life, which must

be protected.

This textual citation says that during a human creation through the host that individual creation

has thru right to life which must be protected. Other people may say that women who have been

raped or have an accidental pregnancy should have the right to abortion, but every newborn child

is born with innocence and life. We should not end its life due to personal issue. Consequently,

abortion, no matter what is the issue, is considered an abomination because it destroys life.

In conclusion, the act and idea of an abortion should be abolished to promote more life in

the world. People who believe this should all come together and help end the death of innocent

lives from occurring in the world, starting with the United States of America.
