Dear Parents,

Each fifth grade class will be collaborating with a first

grade class to experiment, investigate, and problem-
solve. We will be using the concept of STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to
provide students an opportunity to be young scientists
and engineers to dream, plan, invent, and test their
creations. Through task oriented challenges, they are
encouraged to think big. Students will also be asked to
write and reflect upon their thinking, solution, and
creation.

To prepare our Fab Labs (fab for fabrication),

we will need your help. We are asking families to send in
newspapers, aluminum foil, and cotton swabs to get us
started. We greatly appreciate any supply you are able to
donate.
