Volleyball is the only sport where a team receives points based on the technique and skill
of an individual. Many people dont understand the game or point of volleyball. Most people
want to see aggression and body contact, people getting thrown or even hit. The object of the
game is for each team to send the ball over the net to ground it on to opponents court.

Each teams composed of six players in each court. Before the game start each team
player are stretching in warm-up area. They are shouting their team which symbolizes unity in
their team. Each team is able to make against the other team. The team captains complete coin
toss before the game to determine the team that will serve first. The game begins with a player
from one team throwing the ball by using hand or arm over the net so that the other team receive
it in their court.

To start the game, serve is the act of putting the ball in play. In my observation during the
game there are different rules in serving the ball. First, the ball has to be served underhand or
overhand. Second, the player who serves the ball must stand behind the end line on his /her side
of the court while making the serve. Third, the served ball must across the net and reach the
opponent side. Last, the ball has to be clearly visible to the opponent team. Also the rotation, this
refers to the clockwise shifting of players before the serve. Similarly, there are also different
rules for rotation. First, the teams change sides as the other team wins the serve. Second,
clockwise rotation of the players happens. In rotation there are three players in front row and
three in the back, and each player just rotates to the next position as the players go along.

There are different techniques I observe during the game Spiking, blocking, passing,
setting and positions of the players for defence are some techniques used while playing the game
volleyball. The team on defence attempts to prevent the attacker from directing the ball into their
court the players at the net jump and reach above the top of the net to blocked the attack ball. A
team is allowed to hit the ball three times to return it into the opponents court. A player is not
allowed to hit the ball twice repeatedly, except when attempting a block. The rally continues until
the ball touches the floor, goes out or a team fails to return it to the opponents court or commits
a fault. Volleyball is like any other sport. You repetitively try to serve the ball into the court.

A match usually consists of 5 sets with the winner being the team that gets to 25 points
first. The winner would be the team that wins 3 out of 5 sets. If the game goes to the final set, the
set is typically played to 15 points. A team must be ahead by two points when they get to 25 or
the set is continues until a team is ahead by two points. After they announced the winner each
team line and they handshake which symbolizes for being a sport person.
