6th Grade Link Crew at Fox Creek 2016-2017

Link Crew will provide short-term opportunities for 6th graders to develop leadership qualities that are
aligned with the Habits of Character.

Purpose:
Link Crew will provide you with growth opportunities to further your leadership skills. As a Link Crew
member you will fulfill a role as a student representative and be a major voice in furthering the vision of
Fox Creek Elementary.

Time Commitment:
There will be two different Link Crews for the 16-17 school year. The Fall Crew will meet from October -
January and the Spring Crew will meet from February - May.

Link Crew meetings will be a working lunch from 12:20 - 1:00pm every Friday. You must be willing to
give up your lunch recess on Fridays in order to participate in Link Crew.

As a Link Crew member you will agree to bringing a sack lunch for our meeting days. We have limited
time to meet so we won't have enough time for kids to get hot lunch on meeting days.

Staff Sponsors:
The FCE Link Crew is sponsored by Brian Rodda and Heather Carroll.

Crew Member Qualities:

As a Link Crew member you must demonstrate thorough application of our Habits of Character. If
selected, you will sign a contract committing to using your Habits of Character everywhere you go.
Failure to demonstrate our Habits of Character will result in you losing your opportunity to serve on Link
Crew.

Our specific Link Crew behavior targets are:

Courage - I can publicly share my thoughts and opinions on how to make Fox Creek even better.
Respect - I can demonstrate respect in my tone of voice and word choice with everyone.
Collaboration - I can effectively collaborate with others by actively listening to their ideas.
Integrity - I can do the right thing, even when no one's watching.
