district. I have known Ms. Emmel since she first visited the California University of Pennsylvania campus as a
prospective student and have had the pleasure of instructing her over the past four years as a student in numerous
courses as well as supervising her during field experiences.

Jamie is a very competent and personable young lady. She is hard working, self-disciplined, conscientious,
inquisitive, thorough, and sure of herself. She has shown the ability to transfer knowledge gained on campus to
on-site experiences as evidenced by excellent ratings during field experiences. Jamies ability to communicate
effectively, with both the written and the spoken word, complements her pleasant personality. Jamie holds herself
to high standards both personally and in her academic studies. She continually treats her coursework with the
utmost professionalism and enthusiasm. She is well organized and uses constructive feedback to improve
her educational performance. Jamie performs over and above the requirements, setting the bar higher
than the course requires and reaching that mark one hundred percent of the time. She has a passion to
learn and excel in her chosen field of study and uses her leadership qualities to instill that same passion in
her peers. Her interpersonal skills and acumen make her both a pleasure and an asset. Students with
Jamies passion, drive for excellence, self discipline, and leadership qualities stand out in todays society.
She is an excellent role model for our youth and has the potential to make a great impact on the world.

In the time I have known Ms. Emmel, she has always demonstrated thoughtfulness, leadership skills, collaborative
abilities, and high standards. Her personal demeanor compliments her intelligence and enthusiasm for teaching.
She possesses knowledge of her students and her content as well as a variety of instructional approaches and is
well versed in the creative use of technology for teaching and learning. I believe that Jamie is an effective
educator and will make a strong addition to your school faculty. She is the type of young woman that I would
