Norkam Ibrahim - Born in 1967 in State of Johore, Malaysia and he is holding

Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from UiTM. Upon graduated in 1989, he
joined steal manufacturing company as Junior Electrical Engineer. He was
responsible for managing daily electrical maintenance activities, machine trouble
shooting and plant upgrading. After 4 years he left the company and joined
Power Cables Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Senior Project Engineer. The company was
established in 1975 as joint venture between Malaysia Army Investment Fund and
British Cable Manufacturer, BICC Plc. He was responsible for underground cable
project and implementation including cable system design, installation, testing,
commissioning, cable fault location, breakdown investigation and analysis. In
1996 he was promoted to Project Manager and then Head of Project Department
in year 2003 until left the company in year 2006. He has gained a lot of
knowledge and experience in underground cable technology and attended few
power cable courses in BICC UK, Pirelli Italy and Pfisterer Switzerland. During his
tenure with Power Cables Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., he handled project worth more
than RM350mil (USD100mil) before left in 2005. He also conducts presentation
for underground cable system & design to local and foreign utility company such
as TNB, Petronas, SESB, RapidKL, MEPE Myanmar and CEM Macau. Some of the
major 132kV underground cable installation that he had involved were KLCC, LRT
Putra System, Kuantan Central, Mid-Valley Mall, Intel Plant Penang, KK Northern
Town, Shah Alam North, Ampang, Kapar Power Plant, Paka Power Plant, Petronas
Central Utility Kerteh and Gebeng, PETRONAS Penapisan Melaka, Larkin, and
many more for system design such as PTP Johor, KK Outer Ring System, SS
