distribute soil
samples, placed
in clear plastic
cups, to each
group of
students. Each
group will get
three samples of
different types
of soils.
- Students will
then explore
each sample of
soil carefully
and try to
describe the
main features of
each sample.
- Each student
will then get an
A4 work sheet
with few
questions. Such
as, what can
you see? How it
feels? And what
do you hear?

Students will
explore each
sample and
answer the
questions in
previous point.
- Teacher will then
discuss the
findings with her
students and
discuss their
answers.
