RON WEASLEY - Late 40s, friend of Harrys and joker
HARRY POTTER - 49, Ginnys husband and alcoholic
BARTENDER - Calm and supportive staff of The Leaky

SCENE ONE: INT, LIVING ROOM DUSK

(Narrator, Harry, Ron)

MUSIC: SOFT AND RELAXING

NARRATOR
*deeply* Harry Potter the once, mighty wizard that defeated the Dark Lord. Thirty
years ago, he received so much praise and credit for his incredible and phenomenal
work he was content with all of his friends, especially the two people he had since the
very beginning Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and even marrying the love of
his life, Ginny Weasley.

MUSIC: CHILLING

*deeply still* Now, in the present time something has drastic has happened to the
boy who lived. Work at the Ministry has been a burden relationship goals are on the
brink of being shattered Harrys own son Albus, has been having trouble believing his
father is the one true and great wizard he used to be and even worse our hero has
been fixated with an intoxicating addiction to alcohol

SOUND: SOFT RAIN FALLING ON WINDOW, LIGHT SWITCHS SWITCHING ON AND

OFF, GLASS BOTTLES CLANGING

RON
*demanding* Oi Harry, I do not think you should have any more vodka. It is going to
affect your self-being soon enough; I recommend you stop straight away.

HARRY
*egocentrically* You cannot tell me what I should do Ron, it is my body and I treat it as I
please.

SOUND: VODKA BOTTLE CAP POP, TING ON THE BOTTLE

*chuckles* Mmm, yeah

SOUND: WHOOSH OF THE ARM, WHIRLS OF WIND, BOTTLE CLANGS ON THE
FLOOR

HARRY
*angry* Hey! Ron, give that back to me!

SOUND: FAST WALKING ON THE FLOOR

RON
*forceful* Petrificus Totalus!

SOUND: WHOOSH OF THE ARM, ZAP OF WIND, HARD THUMP ON THE FLOOR

*calm* Harry, you need to understand that you cant keep on doing this bloody stuff to
yourself. Its just not right, what about your job?

HARRY
*muffling*

SOUND: WALKING ON WOOD, GETS LOUDER THROUGH TIME

RON
*gets a bit raged* What would your own passed on blood think, also your co-workers at
the Ministry? On the other hand, even worse, Ginny. Harry, you are seriously falling
apart and you need to get your life back on track.

HARRY
*pretends to muffle innocently*

RON
*softly* This is not the Potter I knew and I want him back. Please.

HARRY
*nods head, while expressing agreement through a muffle*

RON
Finite.

SOUND: WHOOSH OF THE ARM, SUCTION WIND

HARRY

*breathes in deeply* I will have a think about it Ron.

SOUND: STANDING UP ON WOOD

RON
You had better make the right decision, Harry. I fear for your own safety and even sanity.

HARRY
I will be completely okay, Ron. There is no need to worry or even flipping fear about me.
Besides, Ginny has called me back home, I need to go now.

RON
Have a safe trip, Harry. Hope to see you again with Ginny, along with Hermione.

HARRY
*excitingly* See you, Ronald!

SOUND: UNLOCKING DOOR, WALKING OUT AND CLOSES TOO

RON
*breathes in deeply and sighs heavily*

Scene running time: 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

SCENE TWO: INT, PUB NIGHT

(Narrator, Harry, Bartender)

MUSIC: Deep and Suspenseful

NARRATOR
*deeply* Unbeknownst to Ron, since Harry has been gripped by the craving of alcohol,
he has been behaving more like a Slytherin than a Gryffindor. Harry became a lot more
cunning and compelling since he got his paws on the first beer bottle he drank, in the
Leaky Cauldron before.

*still deeply* Sham heeding Rons advice, Harry made his way to the Leaky Cauldron to
sink himself into the ungodly drinks once again. Harry enthusiastically and assertively
enjoyed the different varieties of liquor he could find inside and now that he was back,
Harry could certainly settle without the constant stress interfering his life.

SOUND: OPENS DOOR, CROWD OF CHATTING

HARRY

*chuckles* Here we are again.

SOUND: WALKING ON ROCK, THROUGH THE CROWDS OF TALKING

BARTENDER
Ah Mr. Potter, back again eh? What can I do for you, on this fine night?

SOUND: SITTING DOWN ON CHAIR, RATTLES AN EMPTY BOTTLE

HARRY
My usual. Butterbeer, but this time with some hints of ginger.

BARTENDER
Coming right up.

SOUND: GLASS CLANKS, LIQUID POURING, BUBBLES FIZZ

Here you are, Potter.

SOUND: FULL GLASS, SLIDES ACROSS THE BAR TOP

*concerned* By the way, your wife does not seem too happy with you from what I have
heard, of what you are doing with your life.

SOUND: SIPPING DRINK FROM THE GLASS

HARRY
Yeah, about that. Ginny is absolutely alright with it all. I am planning to fix everything,
once I have had enough of this stuff. Which wont stop for a while, nothing is stopping
me from enjoying myself.

BARTENDER
Just be mindful of how much you do, disaster could come soon.

HARRY
*rudely* You are just like Ron. Everyone is the same; nothing bad is going to happen.

BARTENDER
I respect your opinions but I stand by what I said, I believe it will eventually.

HARRY
*sighs*

SOUND: GULPING DOWN THE DRINK FROM THE GLASS, CLANGS DOWN
Scene running time: 2 minutes.

SCENE THREE: OUT, STREETS NIGHT

(Narrator, Albus)

MUSIC: Worrying and Soft

NARRATOR
*deeply* Whenever Harry was under the potent effects of alcohol, he became very
arrogant and stubborn, just like his past school, bully Draco Malfoy. This is definitely not
the proud and great hero we will all used to know and surely, this deep, growing problem
for Harry was surely to be a nail in the coffin for his future.

SOUND: RAIN FALLING, WALKING AND PUDDLE SLIGHTLY SPLASHING

*deeply again* Meanwhile, his healthy and well-educated son, Albus Potter was walking
home through the blistering rain and carrying home some essentials that he brought
from the famously known wizard shopping centre Diagon Alley. He stumbled past the
Leaky Cauldron and saw his father inside, gorging himself on the bottles.

ALBUS
*slowly gasps* He is at it again Oh, I dont want to do this but mum needs to
know this is going too far now

SOUND: RUNNING, PUDDLES SPLASHING, BREATHING IN AND OUT

NARRATOR
*deeply* Albus saw what he dreaded to see with his own eyes, Harry hiding away from
his issues inside the pub with so much alcohol he could not tell how many. He decided
to tell his mother Ginny, hoping it will solve the problem.

SOUND: STOPS, BREATHING HEAVILY

ALBUS
*annoyed* Oh my god, screw this walking. Carpe Retractum.

SOUND: FLICK OF THE ARM, WHOOSH OF THICK WIND

SOUND: DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING, WALKING IN

SOUND: WALKING DOWN WOODEN STAIRS

GINNY
*notices Albus, wondrous* Hey Albus, honey, whats wrong?

ALBUS
*worried* Isnt it obvious?

GINNY
What is it?

ALBUS
Dad is at it again with the flipping alcohol.

GINNY
How do you even know he is?

ALBUS
*serious attitude* When I was coming home from Diagon Alley, I saw him in the Leaky
Cauldron feasting himself to the liquor and even heard him saying through a window, he
will not stop until he gets enough of it.

GINNY
*gasps* So thats why he isnt doing great at work.

ALBUS
Whats wrong with him?

GINNY
No idea son, but Im going to find out more when he comes back.

SOUND: WALKING OFF ON WOODEN FLOOR

ALBUS
*horrified* W-wha-what are you going to do mum?

GINNY
Im so sorry, Albus

SCENE FOUR: INT, HOUSE NIGHT

MUSIC: Frightening and Intense

SOUND: DOOR OPENING, HANDLE RATTLING AND SLIGHT KNOCKING

HARRY
*dizzy and drunk, shouting* Hello sweetie! Guess whos back!

SOUND: WALKING AROUND

HARRY
*notices Albus on the sofa* Hey there son, what are you doing?

GINNY
Dont touch him! Incarcerous!

SOUND: FLICK OF THE ARM, WHOOSH, ROPES WRAP AROUND HARRY

HARRY
*shocked suddenly* Hey honey! What was that for?

GINNY
I know everything, with you and your stupid obsession of alcohol!

HARRY
*confused* What are you talking doing? What alcohol?

GINNY
I found out from Albus, when he saw you inside the Leaky Cauldron gorging yourself!

HARRY
Oh come on, it was just one bottle. Whats the problem with that?

ALBUS
Dad, you had at least 4 when I caught you through the near window and left to tell mum!

HARRY
Silencio.

SOUND: FLICK OF THE ARM, WHOOSH AND ALBUS MOUTH SHUTS

ALBUS
*mutters desperately*

GINNY

Harry!

HARRY
Okay, he was telling the truth, but at least it made me content!

GINNY
Then why are you doing all of this to yourself?! I want to know!

HARRY
Life is getting so unbearable altogether! Work at the Ministry, dealing with out three kids
every single day and even my scar has been bothering me with tempting pains!

GINNY
Then why didnt you come to me for help?!

HARRY
Because you are not the time to talk to and you would not understand what I am going
through currently.

ALBUS
*mutters desperately, shocked*

GINNY
Harry James Potter, how dare you say that to me! I love you and I would absolutely
listen to your problems whenever I can! Why would say something like that?!

HARRY
Told you already, you arent worth it.

GINNY
You son of a Crucio!

SOUND: WHOOSH OF THE ARM, ZAP OF WIND, PAIN TAPS

HARRY
*grunts and slightly yelling in pain*

GINNY
I believed you were good Harry, but turns out you are not you hearing me? We are
over!

SOUND: RING COMES OFF FINGER AND SLAMS IT ON THE FLOOR

*muttering loudly* Dont do this!

GINNY
Goodbye Harry Potter.

SOUND: DOOR FLINGS OPEN AND SLAMS SHUT

HARRY
Stupefy!

SOUND: LOUD THUD HITS THE CLOSED DOOR

SOUND: RUNNING OUT OF THE DOOR, RAINING OUTSIDE

ALBUS
No, no, no *quiet scared gibberish*

NARRATOR
There was silence silence, as quiet as the night sky. The sublime relationship between
Harry and Ginny finished with an ungodly mistake. With both broken hearts gone their
separate ways, their child Albus is left in the emptiness of the dark, left with nothing else
in life and not able to think what is going to happen now
