The class will be presented with some PC tools and computer system components. The teacher will also
present a video clip about the step by step procedures in PC assembly. While the class enjoys in video presentation,
students will be informed to their performance task which is to assemble a computer. Then, the teacher introduces
the learning standard of the unit. Students are asked to give insights about the transfer goal. The essential questions
are highlighted and the teacher requests the class to study the contents (i.e. knowledge and skills) of the unit which
will help students answer questions. The teacher divides the class into groups and discusses with them the
performance task required of the unit. The rubric is presented and questions are entertained for clarification and
leveling of expectations.

DAY 2 EXPLORE THE HARDWARE TOOLS AND ITS USES

The class will have a gallery walk on the hand tools, equipment and their uses. The teacher facilitates
students activity and appoints students to act as gallery guides. The gallery guides discuss the tools, equipment and
their uses. A short demo will be conducted by the teacher; return demo takes place afterwards and a short quiz is
given after the activity (1). (EQUIP, REFLECT)

DAY 3 FIRM UP ON HARDWARE TOOLS

Through the gallery walk conducted last meeting, the class will have a moving exam regarding the naming

The students will read the text TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE. Then they will conduct
a maintenance activity on the given hand tools (4). (EVALUATE, TAILOR-MADE)

DAY 8 DEMONSTRATION ON PC ASSEMBLY IN PREPARATION FOR THE PERFORMANCE TASK

The class will view again the step by step procedures in PC Assembly. They will have to do a return demo
in preparation for their performance task (2). (EVALUATE, REFLECT)

DAY 9 UNIT TEST ASSESSING STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE AGAINST CONTENT STANDARD
