Purpose of the course

Explain the concept of graphic communication, their type

and their role in sanitary construction.
II. Familiarize with different drawing equipment, technical
standards and procedures for construction of geometric
figures.
III. Equipped with the skill that enables them to convert
pictorial (3-D) drawings to orthographic (2-D) drawings
and vice versa.
IV. Explain the principle and application of sectioning.
V. Well familiar with the purpose, procedures, materials and
conventional symbols utilized to make sketch maps.

Importance of drawing: why it is so important?

A Line in drawing cost money as you are building or constructing something in field
using engineering materials.

In photo bodies are not in same plane, so there exists some relations between
object distance and height/width. Detail comes in photogrammetry and remote
sensing studies

In civil engineering drawings, usually objects of interest are drawn on a particular

plane, for example objects elevation, plan, and side views are drawn on an assumed
plane. It is more clearer when sectional views of objects are drawn.
