NARRATIVE REPORT
It was November 12, 2015 when I started my on the job training in DENR Region V
Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office. Before I was introduced to our
designated department, the Chief Management Services Division Head, Ms. Ofelia
O. Abalon oriented us about the company rules and regulations, as well as the Dos
and Donts inside the office. She also introduced us to those employees who are
there that day. To start with our work, we made the draw lots, together with our
other co OJT classmates, Trixia L. Sarampote & Twinkle L. Sarampote, to know
where we will be assigned. I picked the Admin Department. The first job assigned to
me was to do some clerical works and encoded some documents. Days later, I was
assigned to do and encode the General Fund, Trust Fund and Wildlife Fund Collection
Report on that day and from that moment I was permanently assigned there to do
the said tasks. At First, I was unable to do some tasks because I dont know the
process, but our Immediate Supervisor, Ms. Eden Robles told us that its natural for
us to commit such mistakes because we are just starting to learn the environment
in the Office. I also made Monthly Reports that must be submitted to the Bureau of
Treasury such as the Monthly Revenue Collection Report, Monthly Report of
Accountability and the Monthly LGU Share report. We experienced a lot of good
moments with them, like eating lunch & snacks together and we are fortunate to be
able to participate with their Christmas Party last December 21, 2015 where our
group the combined forces of the Admin Division, Records Division and Planning
Division was the Champion on the said group presentation during the Party. We
have a great time at PENRO DENR V Albay and learned a lot, not just with the
methods, processes and day to day operation of the Office but we learned how to
cope up with the management and the employees at DENR V. Over all, I can say
that we had a great OJT experience with them.
