Unit of Inquiry 5

Where we are in Place and Time An inquiry into orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys;
the discoveries, explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of
individuals and civilizations, from local and global perspectives.

Vietnamese Language and Culture (VLC)

In this unit, Year 2 VLC language will focus on Action verbs. During VLC lessons, the
students will learn some useful action verbs and apply their newly learnt vocabulary to
describe what someone is doing in Vietnamese.

In unit 5, year 2 VNC will be continued on Vietnamese phonics, story-telling and handwriting:

Physical Education
During the fifth unit of inquiry, students in Physical Education will be involved in a
variety of group activities and ball games. They will focus on fundamental movement
skills such as jumping, running, agility, balance, throwing and catching. Students will
be encouraged to help others as they work to solve problems together in small groups.
