Branch Manager

Staffs and directs Sales Team Leader and Loan Advisors and provides leadership
towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company
vision and values
Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing
area and contributes to the development of training programs for Loan Advisors
Participates fully in establishing the branch infrastructure including the credit
administration, accounting, and other branch support services.
Assists the Region Head in formulating and implementing marketing
strategies to attain deposit growth and profitability targets of the year.
Supervises the Teller, Service Head and New Accounts Clerk and assigns
alternates to act on their behalf in their absence
Reviews the schedule of daily transactions of the Branch to ensure
accuracy of reports
Reviews and approve all periodic reports prepared by the Branch for
Head Office and other government agencies
Approves signature cards to authorize the opening of accounts, validate
customer information, and authenticate clients signature.
Sets operational directives and strategies in support of the Branch goals
and objectives in the attainment of profitability and deposit growth
targets.
Approves the summary of daily expenses
Assists Region Head in establishing and communicating clear and
comprehensive organizational structure, job descriptions including
roles, responsibilities and accountabilities and authorities for all branch
banking operations staf
Carries out annual performance review of direct reports based on
SMART objectives and recommend them for appropriate trainings
whenever necessary
Selects and recommends candidates for all direct reports positions
Coaches, encourages and mentors branch staf
Conducts periodic meetings and presentations with staf members to
brainstorm on issues/problems of the area
Checks and signs on Disclosure Statement of all loans released by the Loans unit
of the bank
Proposes repairs and maintenance necessary for the upkeep of the Branch
Approves cash disbursements, and other pertinent transactions per CASA
( codified approving and signing authorities) provisions
Markets deposit liabilities of the bank to meet targets
Monitors branch office and field oriented expenses to ensure compliance
with budget.
Processes of business permits, licences, and contracts (rental, securities,
insurances, janitorial, and legal)
Checks and approves inventory of accountable forms
Approves PN, disclosure statement, REM or chattel mortgage, deed of
assignment, authority to debit preparation
Participates fully in the annual operations planning process by setting the branch
level targets and budgets
Ensures branch achieves savings and deposit, service quality and
efficiency targets.
Ensures that adequate resources are provided to branch staff to meet the agreed
targets.
Establishes agreed individual performance targets for all branch staf.
Provides advice, guidance and support to the branch team and ensures
that staf are motivated and organized to exceed performance targets.
Regularly monitors achievement of performance of the branch against
the set objectives/plan, and takes Ensures profitability of the branch
through cost controls, maximizing sales generation, and marketing and
selling eforts
Assists the Region Head in the development of new products and
services and their marketing through cross selling, referrals, and client
calls
Reviews, develops, and implements suitable marketing and selling activities for
lending, savings, deposits and other potential banking products
Ensures that customers receive quality products and services that adhere to the
product and client service standards.
Builds and manages relationships with clients informing them of the best
deals/products for their investment
Implements service standards set by management to offer best services to
clients.
Plans and implements marketing strategies to promote and sell the products and
services of the Bankcorrective action against significant deviations and reports the
same to the Region Head
