LIVING YOUR TREASURE

LIVING YOUR TREASURE
Your treasure and it’s importance
Each and every person is unique, with a unique mind-body constitution and a unique
set of life circumstances, all of which must be considered in how we perceive the
world around us. This view is in alignment with the modern science which views
individuals as unique in the universe with a unique DNA. Each set of circumstances
that we go through imprints on us different expectations, different skills and different
goals and dreams.
Our different set of circumstances and how we view life can stem from a very critical
component of your success: self esteem. A good self esteem is crucial to drawing to
you abundance, happiness, health, peace of mind and the fulfillment on ones dreams.
You must treasure your dreams and always hold them.
A therapist by the name Nathaniel Branden wrote that the internal
negativity could lead to lack of achievement:
Change what people think of themselves, Change their destiny.

F ire can be defined as a consuming element that uses fuel to produce light, heat
and reaction products. Fire is one of the five basic elements that make up the human
life and it is the fire within a person that determines his/her passion for anything and
everything that she/he does in life. Fire was and still is an important element in many
world cultures, notably the ancient Greek, Roman, Chinese and Indian cultures.
Your fire is that element helps you define your goals and fuel put your dreams into
action. Fire give you the passion to explore, create, risk, research, understand, discuss,
ask, venture into the unknown, climb that mountain. Fuel does not let you give up
when the mountain becomes too high. You must find suitable fuel to feed your
dreams for it does no one any good to spend your entire time dreaming. Finding the
suitable fuel may be just as important as the dream itself. Fuel motivates you to push
through obstacles that are in your way.

As you know fire cannot exist without any fuel to consume. Your dreams are the fire
that is to burn within you, without fuel the dreams become flashes of light in the dark,
never to burn bright and produce any product.

If you take fire as your dreams, your goals and your potential, dose them with fuel
You will realize that a internal reaction happens, where once something looked like it
was impossible to overcome after putting fuel on your fire you come up with a way
out of that impossible situation. Case in point, have you ever gone in such of
something or some place only to find it when you’re just about to give up.

Types of fuel
• Monitory i.e. money, credit such that can be used to purchase the things that
are needed.
• Inborn talents i.e. ability to run a marathon in record time
• Acquired skills and trades

• Acquired positive traits such as discipline
• Natural resource i.e. time,

Ever heard that you must give something to get something? It happens to be true;
unfortunately there is no free lunch.
You may ask about the person who has a dream, but his/her environment is lacking in
sources of fuel. What should such a person do to overcome this shortfall? It is simple
since fuel is any material that can be used to generate energy then one must be
creative with what ever one has available. If the person environment is lacking in
monitory resources such a person must use other resources such as time, certain
inborn skills and talents. Such a person may use their time to search for and attain
knowledge as it pertains to their particular desire. Such a person may ask for
mentorship from someone they admire and respect. You do not have to have monitory
fuel to achieve your dreams, everyday opportunities arise for you to farther your self.
You just need to be willing to keep adding fuel to the fire that is your dreams.

Why add fuel to the fire? The law of diminishing intent

Our commitment to our goals leads us to achievement, even during the toughest
times. There is a direct relationship between motivation and commitment. If you are
really committed to making a change now in your sales or business results, create a
sense of urgency.

The flame is the visible portion of the fire that consumes the fuel once the flame has
dissipated then whatever is left is are just ambers that will eventually grow cold and
be forgotten. If you do not add fuel to your fire, the flame that you see that keeps that
dream alive will gradually disappear there will be no light and eventual dream will no
longer be seen as attainable. If you let a fire die down it takes more effort to return it
than it would to keep it at burning.

Successful people learn this early, "The longer you wait to

accomplish what you already know you should do, the more
likely it is that you will never do it".
The law of diminishing intent status that the longer you wait to action on an idea the
less enthusiasm you will have to complete it. Therefore one must act in good time to
avoid letting you fire grow cold. This is because as you wait, the enthusiasm that you
once had, will slowly go down the drain. We should be, to a great extent move
forward, guarding our dreams from turning into amber, adding fuel to the fire until we
get to the place that we have envisioned.

Success in any area centres on Taking Action and Reaping the

Rewards

So the law of diminishing intent applies if you had great talent for music and could
play an instrument by ear and it was your dream to become a great entertainer. If you
were to practice your skill daily and seek venues to use your talent then sooner other
than later you would find a way to express your talent and start on your road to being
a great entertainer. But instead of seeking out ways to sharpen you skill and seeking
out venues that would allow you to perform, then eventually your enthusiasm would
dwindle down to nothing and your great talent become a thing of the past. If by some
coincidence your desire to play music and become a great entertainer was awaken,
you would find it much harder to regain your fire without continually apply new fuel
to your dreams.

In conclusion, the only way to let your dreams fly is to continually apply fuel that
leads to action that leads to your passion spreading like wildfire.

HOW TO ADD FUEL TO YOUR FIRE

It does not matter how big the oak tree seed might get; if it is never put
into good soil, it will never take root and never grow into a mighty oak
tree.
Keeping your dreams front and centre is what makes the difference between
eventually giving up and making progress on your passion.

Your self discipline

D iscipline is almost a dirty word to some people, everyone has at some time or
another struggled with discipline in one area of his or her life. Self discipline is an
admirable trait that we all strive for; I mean do you really need a second piece of
cake...not so. Yet those who have mastered self discipline have been able to reap great
rewards for their trouble. I mean how many of us still work on a idea after the original
burning enthusiasm has be depleted, only the person how has mastered self discipline
will still be at it. I usually get excited about a new work out or new equipment at the
gym but once the excitement dies, going to the gym becomes a chore that I no longer
enjoy or want to do. Self discipline gives us the freedom to pull ourselves up, and take
action, even when our mood, emotion or passion has dwindled. Think for a moment
about an athlete, who has average talent, who dream it is to win a marathon. Does this
person only practise when he or she feel like or when the marathon date is near? No,
the athlete will find the best couch; practise daily and diligently for several months
before the said marathon. He or she will eat the prescribed diet, even if it is not that
appetising, they will endure punishing training to get their body in the best shape to
compete. Even a musician playing an instrument may practise for many hours so that
he or she can master the instrument.
Self discipline...mastering your true self

If you struggle with self-discipline, the good news is that it can be developed. You
can develop self discipline is by knowing yourself, for you cannot change want you

do not know. In knowing yourself you need to take a closer look at your dreams and
the values that you hold. Write them down; take time to develop them, to be an
accurate picture of what you seen in your mind. This exercise will give you a better
understanding of who you are and what values do you hold dear.

Secondly you must be consciously aware of your behaviour. How can you change
your behaviour is you are not aware of it. Being aware of your undisciplined
behaviour is one of the best was to catch yourself before you act in undisciplined
manner. When you catch your self in an undisciplined manner then you can better re-
align your self with the proper value that you are trying to learn. Do not worry self
discipline may take time, some value may even take longer to learn than others. But it
is best not to give up.
There is a significant difference between intentions and
action. The difference is commitment.
The hardest part for has been the ongoing commitment to be disciplined, I mean I set
out to accomplish a certain goal at the gym, at work or else where and after the initial
period I find myself with a waning commitment to follow through. Once commitment
weakens then I begin to struggle to implement my goal. If you struggle with
commitment as most of us do, start by making a conscious decision to follow through
on what you say you’re going to do, find a way to hold yourself accountable. What I
do is to tell a few people what I intent to accomplish so that it could be a reminder or
a way to reset my commitment. Sometimes you cannot use this method; another
option would be to chart your progress on a journal or is possible even on a spread
sheet. Visualize success step by step till it become natural.

Change is scarily, for most people change induces fear and other negative emotions.
Real change is never easy, but it takes a certain amount of audacity. It is always so
much easier to maintain status quo than to change a perfect example would be a
smoker trying to quit, it takes time, effort, commitment, and courage to weather the
side effects of quitting. The smoker cannot pretend the task ahead is easy, while in the
real sense it is both difficult and painful. But with each day that the smoker is free of
smoking his self confidence grows and as it grows his self discipline becomes more
self evident.

Lastly we must guard ourselves against our own minds, for in our minds we must win
the battle against, self doubt, fear, procrastination and the general lack of courage to
tackle the task at hand. If by any chance we slip it should be natural for us to get back
on our feet and Succeed. We must begin to teach ourselves, using only positive
language that what lies before us is attainable. We must consciously and courageously
reinforce our commitment to the task at hand. We must tune our minds to only the
certainty of achieving success.
