He completed his osteopathic medical school training at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City Missouri, where he graduated cum laude. He then completed a transitional year of training at the Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Carpenter finished his three-year ophthalmology residency in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the St. Francis Medical Center where he had extensive dermato-cosmetic training as well. As the founder of the Eye & Cosmetic Surgery Center of Nevada, he has been serving his patients in the Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada area for over 10 years, offering glaucoma detection, cataracts and refractive surgery, cosmetic surgery and pterygium removal and transplantations. He is the first eye surgeon in the state of Nevada to offer his patients the most advanced detection possible for glaucoma using the highest resolution OCT3 laser. For patients undergoing cataract surgery, Dr. Carpenter uses the IOL Master: a new laser system that offers the most accurate and precise method of calculating a person's intraocular lens power. With a no injection, no stitch, clear corneal method of cataract surgery, his methods expedite a patient's visual recovery.
