Oakland Woman Naked and High on Crack Arrested After Masturbating, Spitting on Cops

Between being naked and masturbating in public, being

high on crack cocaine ended poorly for one Oakland wom-
an who was arrested on four counts of harassing a public
servant.

Around 5:30 a.m. last Tuesday, paramedics called the

police for help restraining a patient, Cheryl Chu, after she
had screamed incoherently and flailed her arms around
when paramedics asked her for her name.

The 68 year-old was reportedly caught masturbating

on her back butt naked and high on crack cocaine when
officers approached, according to the Oakland Morning
News. While she had stopped masturbating when the of-
ficers arrived, the shenanigans were far from over.

After being handcuffed, Chu report-
edly became increasingly disturbed,
continuing to yell and flail around, ac-
cording to WFAA. Chu, who has demen-
tia, repeatedly spit on the officers and
paramedics, because, the SF Chronicle
reports, she thought they would get
herpes. (However, while herpes can be
spread through bodily fluids, saliva isnt
one of them.) Paramedics put a mask
over her mouth in an attempt to stop
her from spitting, but Chu managed to
wiggle free and spit more and more,
according to her arrest warrant affida-
vit. One officer was even hit in the face
and mouth by Chus spit.
Eventually, officers put a spit hood
over Chus head, and she was taken to
a local hospital, where staff told police
they had treated Chu before and that
she had tested positive for dementia.
Shes now in jail on a $200,000 bail
and has been charged with four counts
of harassment of a public servant.
