A machine called Tapeoj

Quote:
Thanks for your letter and many files that u sent me containing your invention, thoughts
on Orffyrues and his perpetual motion. My congratulations to you, If you have really
invented what you have claimed then it is better to develop it to a point where it can stand
as a crucial experiment around a scientific community of your area in presence of media,
thats not very difficult or you can proceed to seek a patent. If you have something vital,
you can find some organization that will help you to seek the patent.
Thanks for you e-mail and suggestions, but I would find it
difficult to progress farther, or find, and convince a potential firm, or organization as to
the internal workings, (that may cause doubt in your mind) but let me explain it this way,
the internal works can be likened to “a modern day two wheel cycle” and looking on the
still drawing for the first time, then in the presence of an audience having to explain it in
flight, to ask them to visualize it’s workings in action, I strongly believe even educated
men may fail to grasp the system at first, but am convinced from say in an audience of
“ten” I would be confidant of two/three that would spot it immediately.
About patent-protection, I live in Ireland, and am aware European, or international patent
would be best, I first applied for, and got a provisional patent some twenty yrs or more
ago in Ireland. I of course let it lapse due to lack of progress, however when I tried here
again two yrs ago, though they accepted the fee, they failed to accept my drawings, and
specifications this time claiming that “they in the Patents office” needed to be convinced
of it’s workability, though the possible cause is that’s it’s P.M. I possibly may not be
rejected out side Ireland, if I were to apply for a British or European patent.
So you see the curse of Perpetual Motion hangs over me as it did over Orffyreus, and to
be honest the enthusiasm for me is now on the wane and why I would give free to the
World, I never at any time have lost confidence, or faith in the workings of Tapeoj.
The greatest interest for me in the machine, is this “increasement”, or rise in velocity
which takes it far above Perpetual motion, or over-balancing wheels, and this can be so
arranged “by adjustment” to allow it up to the point of “ possible burn-out” believe it or
not.
Orffyreus said little in relation to the internal working of his machine, on the other hand
I’ve said too much.
John Phin, author of the book " Seven Follies of Science” consider his
invention as a fraud and malign his character by saying that contemporaries of the
Orffyreus found him fickle, tricky, and irascible in the character.
Broad-minded in judging, and yet intolerant, stubborn and yielding, tactful and
blunt, sympathetic and indifferent, affectionate and detached, while he took his big
fortunes lightly, the small ones affected him seriously, while accommodating in
important matters, he was stubborn on smaller ones, He had faith and confidence in
himself but would not intentionally push to the front; though very unsociable, he
was inclined to make intimate friends. With a good gift for conversation, he would
not for days, open his mouth. Not anxious to be a leader, he hated to be a camp
fellow. Desirous to be useful and helpful, he hated being exploited.Amazing the
many dispositions could be thought up of the man Orffyreus Joe Hamill.
