Discontinued Features
The following section outlines the features and functions that are no longer available or supported in v13.

DS-Consumer, Consumer Online Capacity

DS-Consumer (Consumer online capacity, Consumer DS-Systems) is discontinued.

Upgrade path to v13 for CLM environments:

DS-Mobile cannot connect to Consumer DS-Systems; therefore, a CLM DS-License Server must first be upgraded
to v13 to transfer Consumer online capacity to Mobile online capacity.

1. Upgrade your CLM DS-License Server to CLM DS-License Server v13.

2. Upgrade your DS-Systems to DS-Systems v13.

3. Allow your DS-Clients to perform an auto-upgrade to v13, or initiate a manual upgrade of DS-Clients to v13.
When upgrading to v13, DS-Consumer Clients will be auto-converted to DS-Mobile Clients.

Caution: During a manual upgrade, end users must not select to delete the DS-Client configuration and
database as they uninstall the DS-Consumer Client; otherwise, the backup sets will not successfully
migrate to DS-Mobile Client.

DS-Consumer Clients have only one backup set; DS-Mobile Clients v13 will therefore have only one backup set
immediately after the conversion. More backup sets may be created in DS-Mobile Client subsequently.

Migration from DS-Consumer Client to DS-Mobile Client will not affect backup set data in DS-System. Backup and
restore operations will continue as configured after the migration.

Customers with RLM License Servers

RLM DS-License Servers have one Online Capacity pool and do not differentiate between FullFeatured online
capacity, Mobile online capacity, and Consumer online capacity. RLM DS-License Servers and their associated DS-
Systems and DS-Clients will not be affected by the end of support for Consumer online capacity.

Upgrade path to v13 for RLM environments:

1. Upgrade your RLM DS-License Server to RLM DS-License Server v13.

2. Upgrade your DS-Systems to DS-Systems v13.

3. Allow your DS-Client to perform an auto-upgrade to v13, or initiate a manual upgrade of DS-Clients to v13.
When upgrading to v13, DS-Consumer Clients will be auto-converted to DS-Mobile Clients.

Caution: During a manual upgrade, end users must not select to delete the DS-Client configuration and
database as they uninstall the DS-Consumer Client; otherwise, the backup sets will not successfully
migrate to the DS-Mobile Client.

DS-Recovery Tools

Native Win32 DS-User Interface

The native Win32 DS-User interface is discontinued. The native Win32 DS-User is not included with the v13
software DVD/ISO. There are two user interface options for DS-Client in v13, Classic DS-User and DS-User. The
Java DS-User is renamed to Classic DS-User and DS-User is the new redesigned user interface to DS-Client.

When installing DS-User on a device with no previous version of DS-User installed, the only available options at
install are Classic DS-User and DS-User. If upgrading to v13 from a previous version of DS-User, the Win32
DS-User will be removed and replaced by Classic DS-User. The Win32 DS-User will be removed and replaced by
Classic DS-User by both a manual install of the DS-Client installer or via the DS-System client auto upgrade
feature.

Separate DS-User installers

There are no longer separate installers for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems to install DS-User. The
Classic DS-User and DS-User are part of the DS-Client installer.

DS-Mobile Windows 8 Tile User Interface

DS-Mobile previously had two user interfaces, a classic windows style interface and the Windows 8 tile based
interface. Microsoft refers to the Windows 8 tile based interface as Metro. DS-Mobile Windows 8 tile based user
interface is discontinued. The only interface installed with DS-Mobile v13 is the classic user interface.

New Features and Functionality

Office 365
Asigra Cloud BackupTM v13 supports backup and recovery for Microsoft Office 365 Exchange 2013 and Microsoft
Office 365 SharePoint 2013 via Windows DS-Client. Backup and recovery for Office 365 requires the Office 365
plug-In be installed on top of Windows DS-Client v13. The Office 365 plug-in is a separate install.

The following items are supported for backup and recovery:

Office 365 MS Exchange 2013

Mailboxes, Folders, Emails
Contacts, Contact Groups
Calendar events
Tasks
Office 365 MS SharePoint 2013
Site collections, sites
Lists

Office 365 MS One Drive 2013
A Document Library under each users personal site

This functionality is only available in Windows DS-Clients with Office 365 Plug-in installed when DS-Client is
running on Windows 7 and higher operating systems (as seen in the Installation and Backup & Restore Support
Matrix document).

Office 365 backup sets can be created either for MS SharePoint Online or for MS Exchange Online but not
for both items in the same backup set.

To efficiently setup and monitor entire domains, a feature titled Cloud Management System has been added to
DS-NOC. Cloud Management System requires DS-NOC to be installed on the Windows operating system.

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 10
DS-User Interface
v13 introduces the new and improved user interface for DS-Client. The following functionality is available in this
interface:

Monitoring Dashboard for up to 6 DS-Clients at a time

User customizable screens, allowing selection, rearranging and resizing of columns

The DS-User interface can be used to connect to any DS-Client, DS-Mobile and DS-Notebook.

The Asigra component traditionally known as the Java DS-User has been rebranded as the Classic DS-User. Both
interfaces can be installed on the same machine and can be used to connect to DS-Client from the same machine.

File Level Restore for VMware Backup Sets

File Level Restore (FLR) is a feature embedded into VMware Backup sets. FLR is available with and without using
VMware Change Block Tracking (CBT). FLR is available in the restore wizard together with VM-level restore and
VM disk-level restore. FLR allows the user to browse for the file or directory required for restore and to download
only the relevant blocks of data from DS-System, without downloading the entire VM disk data or mounting the VM
image.

File Level Restore is only available on Windows DS-Client. File level restore supports multiple virtual
machines in one backup set. The virtual machine itself can have multiple disks, and the disk can have
multiple volumes.

The following partition types are supported:

Empty
Extended
NTFS
Linux
Linux LVM

The following file system types are supported:

Ext4
NTFS

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 11
VMware Virtual Machine Replication
Replicating VMware virtual machines between two vCenters is available as a new backup set type. VM Replication
requires VM Replication License capacity which is only available under Recovery License Model (RLM).

The VM Replication backup set is only available in Classic DS-User, and only in DS-Client for Windows. The VM
Replication backup set will replicate virtual machines with Windows and Linux guest operating systems.

To setup VM Replication:

Use DS-Operator to assign VM replication Quota

Use DS-Operator to create DS-Client replication groups
Use DS-User to create a replication set VM Replication
Enter source vCenter/ESX
Enter the Destination DS-Client

VM Replication requires a minimum of two DS-Clients, one connected to a source vCenter and connected to a
target vCenter that will host the replica. A single VM replication backup set can be replicated between two
DS-Clients, and different VM replication backup sets can be setup to replicate to different DS-Clients, as long as all
DS-Clients are part of the same replication group.

Each VM replication backup set can contain multiple items. These items may be either individual Virtual Machines
or Virtual Machine folders. When a folder is added to the backup set, all subfolders and VMs within these subfolders
at the time of replication are replicated. The Virtual Machines and folders are assumed to exist on the infrastructure
at the time of backup set creation, and are verified to exist during a backup session (i.e. moving a VM after backup
set creation will cause an error during a backup session). For folders, the folders contents will be scanned during a
backup session and any VMs that were added after backup set creation will be replicated as well.

A VM or folder is identified by the datacenters path (i.e. <ESX IP>/<datacenter name>/<folder name>//<VM
name>). Therefore, multiple VMs with the same name may exist in the same backup set, as long as these VMs
reside in different folders.

The VM Replication backup set supports initial offline seeding, data is replicated to a local portable media which is
then physically shipped to the destination where it is read by the target DS-Client and transferred to the target
vCenter. The Replication backup set will remain locked while the data is in transit, and will be unlocked once the
data is transferred to the destination. After an initial replication, all other replications will be incremental. This
increment will be saved as a snapshot on the target vCenter.

VM Replication supports encryption and compression of transmitted data both over the network and by initial
replication. For data encryption AES 128-bit key is recommended to be used.

The DS-Client will track if it is the source or the target of the replication backup set. Replication will be done from
the source to the target. VM Replication supports failover and failback. A specific generation can be selected for
failback all snapshots will be consolidated to that generation on the target VM before failback. Once the failback is
triggered, no further failovers will be possible.

Geo-location
Via DS-NOC, Asigra Administrators can locate end point devices using various geo-location techniques. Geo-
location is only available for:

FullFeatured DS-Client for Windows

DS-Mobile
iOS DS-Client
Android DS-Client

A user may determine the exact location of lost/stolen devices via the geo-location. DS-Clients periodically collect
information about their locations and, when connected to DS-NOC, pass the information to DS-NOC. The geo-
location mechanism uses several variants to determine the DS-Client machines position: tracking via IP Address,
WIFI and GPS and tracking via GSM. The exact location of the device is displayed in the DS-NOC web pages.

Remote Wipe
Remote wipe can be triggered for monitored DS-Clients in case the devices are stolen or lost and confidential
information needs to be wiped for security reasons. Remote wipe can be triggered by users with "Remote Wipe"
permission enabled as long as these users have a valid authorization code. Authorization codes can be obtained
from a person who has permission by a DS-NOC administrator to generate them. Remote wipe can delete a
specific user's account data (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos) on a Windows OS, and backup set source data
as long as the backup set was created for the local DS-Client machine.

LAN Discovery Features

Multi select shift and control click
Users are able to select multiple items in the network tree using the standard shift click and control click and add
them to the selected items pane by selecting Add. After the user hits Add the selected nodes in the network tree are
unselected and remain in the tree.

Network Tree Filter

Organizations typically have naming conventions for their computer hardware, to easily differentiate between
servers, desktops and other devices. A user is now able to filter out items from the network tree list to make it
simpler to find devices and to work with the list at large organizations with thousands of computers.

Import List of Computer Identities

Frequently organizations already have a list of computers that need to be reported on. User can now import a list of
computer identities into the LAN Discovery Report. For Linux, identities must start with the file system type (i.e.
UNIX-SSH\10.10.6.192, NFS\10.10.6.192). For Windows it is only the IP address or computer name.

Access Report/Dormant Files

Previously, users queried for a specific period in which files changed, and the LAN Discovery Access
Report/Dormant Files report was generated by comparing the Access Date of files listed on the dslanfiles database
with the user-specified period.

The Access Report/Dormant Files is now generated by comparing the Modified Date of files listed on the dslanfiles
database with the user-specified period.

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 13
Greater Number of Items Listed in Duplicate Files Report
The Largest Duplicates report displays a list of the duplicate files found on the LAN, ordered from largest to
smallest. The number of items that can be listed by this report now accommodates up to 65533 items. The All
Duplicates report can now display up to 1,048,576 items.

Improvements for "Skip files smaller than"

Asigra Cloud BackupTM allows users to direct LAN Discovery Report to skip files smaller than a specified amount.
The amount can be specified in different units: KB, MB, GB, and TB. When this option is used, DS-Client will skip
reading files under your designated file size and calculating the signature of these files to speed up the scanning
process.

Virtual LAN Discovery

Virtual LAN Discovery enables users to quickly gain insight into the overall storage allocation / usage pattern of the
virtual machines that are configured on a vCenter; this includes machines that are not running i.e. are not visible on
the network with an active IP address. With this information, administrators can make better decisions as to which
virtual machines should be part of an overall backup strategy.

Virtual LAN Discovery queries the vCenter and returns an inventory of virtual machines. For each virtual machine in
the list a user is able to retrieve the following properties and generate a report based these properties:

Virtual Machine Name

VMware Version
Guest Operating System
Data Center Name
Data Store Name(s)
Host Machine Name
Power State (On or Off)
Provisioned Storage (in MB)
Not-shared Storage (in MB)
Used Storage (in MB)
Timestamp of the last storage update

Salesforce Backup and Recovery

Salesforce backup set supports item-level/granular restore. Compared to table-level restore, this new feature allows
users to restore one or more rows from inside the chosen table. Additionally, interrupted Salesforce restore
processes can be resumed from the point it stopped.

Salesforce backup set can also be configured to skip backing up Salesforce system tables, which had been
automatically included in the backup in previous versions of Asigra Cloud BackupTM. These tables can be excluded
as they are not entirely restorable. However, these tables can still be restored to a different location. Asigra v13
supports restoring the backed up Salesforce information into a .csv file format.

Salesforce backup set can be set to use the Salesforce Bulk API for backup and restore. This minimizes the amount
of API transactions performed and increases the processing speed. Asigras Salesforce backup set also allows
Salesforce table relationships to be maintained and avoid duplicate entries.

DS-System Integration with EMC VNX Storage Arrays
DS-System Extensible Storage volumes can be configured on EMC VNX volumes. DS-System can also be
configured to usesnapshot when triggering and running the following activities, to avoid locking the main storage
and to allow other activities to run on the main DS-System storage.

Replication Send
Disc/Tape
BLM Archiving
Restore

When DS-System is running with EMC VNX storage that supports snapshots and one of the activities listed above
is requested on a backup set, the DS-System will lock that backup set (to keep it available for other high-priority
activities like backup), send commands to take a snapshot of that backup set and trigger the requested activity from
the snapshot, and then release the lock on that backup set. This setup keeps backup sets available for other high-
priority activities to run on using the main DS-System storage.

DS-NOC
RLM Comparisons Tab
The RLM Tracker functionality tracks information and trends in the customer environment regarding backup
amounts, recovery amounts and customer generic profiles and saves this information to make it accessible for
comparison reports. A new Comparisons tab has been added to the RLM Tracker tabs in the DS-NOC Dashboard.
The Comparisons tab shows comparison information between the customers and their peers and/or best
performers in their industries. Different content is available for different levels of access from within DS-NOC:

Mass Deployment Preparation

DS-NOC unifies the following steps in the typical mass deployment:

Create a template DS-Client and indicate the number of DS-Clients to be deployed

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 17
Select the type of DS-Client and the MSI package to be used for mass deployment
Generate an MST file with a standard installation configuration for the DS-Clients
Generate a DS-Client configuration file which includes backup set information, scheduling and retention

The configuration of Microsoft Active Directory and GPOs is a manual step. DS-NOC also allows users to create a
template DS-Client from within the same process flow that asks the user to point to the required MSI packages and
generate an MST file to be used for Mass Deployment.

BLM LTFS Support

BLM Archiver supports an additional type of storage besides Staging, Consolidation and Cloud storage. LTFS
storage allows BLM Archiver to save archive packages directly to tape after they are consolidated and resolved.
LTFS storage locations must be added to BLM Archiver. BLM will attempt to manage and handle the tape operation
such as loading and unloading tapes, formatting tapes, etc.

DS-Billing Configurable Time Intervals for Invoices

Invoices are still based on monthly billing scales; however, the time interval to generate invoices is now configurable
to the number of months.

Additional Parameters Support in MST File

The Country, Industry Vertical and Number of Employees parameters are customizable via the MST file. Asigra
administrators can now pre-configure these parameters and eliminate the prompt to select them when they first log
in to the DS-User GUI: Customize these fields in the MST file and run an installation (including Mass Deployment)
using the MST file.

DS-Mobile Transmission Cache

DS-Mobile supports transmission cache on local storage. If the connection to DS-System is down, a full backup will
occur and is written to local storage. After that back up, DS-Mobile will resume sending data to DS-System once a
connection has been established.

RLM Trial DS-Client

Trial DS-Client is the ability to designate a DS-Client as a Trial. This is only a feature of DS-System under Recovery
License Model. This option is available in DS-Operator or DS-Billing, in the New DS-Client Wizard, on the
Parameters tab. The designation can only be enabled when the DS-Client is created. During the trial, which is
limited to 30 days, all the DS-Clients restore activities will be categorized under Trial Recovery in reports and will
not count for RLM billing purposes. After the 30 days or if manually unchecked in the DS-Client Properties (Edit DS-
Client > Properties tab), the option will be permanently grayed out and cannot be activated again. Once the trial is
over any further recovery activities by that DS-Client will be categorized under Regular Recovery in reports
(Recovery Report in DS-Operator and BLM GUI). A separate RLM Trial DS-Client Report has been added to DS-
Operator to show all the DS-Clients currently flagged with the option Trial DS-Client for restore activities.

Important Notes and Limitations

Online Software for Download
The Asigra Cloud BackupTM v13 software DVD .iso file is available for download to existing customers with valid
annual maintenance and version upgrade subscription.

Unused Asigra Hardware DS-Keys

Unused DS-License Server hardware DS-Keys must be returned to Asigra Inc.'s Toronto office, since the DS-Keys
remain the property of Asigra Inc.

Upgrade to Asigra Hot Fixes or Service Packs

When upgrading any Asigra software to the latest service pack or hotfix, you do not need to upgrade to intermediate
service packs or hot fixes. The latest service pack / hotfix includes previous updates

Installation of DS-Client under the same account

To install Android DS-Client, iOS DS-Client and Windows DS-Clients under the same DS-System account, you
must select AES128 as the Account Encryption Key Type, which is supported by all Asigra DS-Clients. If a different
account encryption key type is selected for a DS-Client, then a different DS-System account will be required and
consequently a separate account configuration needed for that DS-Client.

VADP Virtual Machine Replication not supported between Grid DS-Clients

Virtual machine replication is not supported between Grid DS-Clients at either the source or destination.

Virtual machine replication requires that the DS-Clients at both the source and destination have their own IP
addresses. Network Port forwarding is not supported.

Turn on File Level Restore (FLR)

File Level Restore is a feature embedded into the VMware Backup Set and requires detailed information of the files
and their location on disk. This information was not tracked or kept in previous versions of Asigra Cloud Backup;
therefore, to be able to restore individual files, this detailed information must be captured through a full scan of the
virtual machine image with VMware CBT turned off. Once a full scan of the VM image has been done, VMware
CBT can be turned back on. Due to the impact on backup times that turning off CBT will have, FLR is turned off by
default. To turn on FLR follow these steps for each backup set that you want to enable file level restore:

1. Open Classic DS-User

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 20
2. Connect to the DS-Client hosting the VMware backup set

3. Right click on the backup set and select Properties

4. Select the Options tab

5. Select Use FLR

6. Clear Attempt to use CBT for backing up Virtual Machines

7. Select Apply

8. Proceed with the backup as previously scheduled

As Change Block Tracking (CBT) for the backup set has been turned off, the time taken by the next scheduled
backup will be longer. Once the backup is completed successfully turn CBT back on as follows:

1. Open Classic DS-User

2. Connect to the DS-Client hosting the VMware backup set

3. Right click on the backup set and select Properties

4. Select the Options tab

5. Select Attempt to use CBT for backing up Virtual Machines

6. Select Apply

7. Proceed with the backup as previously scheduled

VMware Backup, File Level Restore, Virtual Machine Replication requires

VMware tools
Changed Block Tracking (CBT) is a VMware feature that helps reduce backup and replication times by enabling
identification of incremental data changes. VMware Backup, File Level Restore and VM Replication can all take
advantage of CBT; to do so, ensure that VMware Tools is installed on the guest image.

BLM LTFS
BLM LTFS requires HP StoreOpen Standalone device libraries. Using HP StoreOpen Automation is not supported
as BLM Archiver will manage the tape library (loading/unloading tapes etc.).

Hessian API
Hessian API Help File Structure Has Changed
In previous deliveries of Asigra Cloud BackupTM the Hessian API documentation listed the members in alphabetical
order and did not maintain the order of the members as defined in hidl files. This structure has changed to list the
members in a structure based on relationship between the members.

Activity Log and Event Log Changes to Accommodate Grid DS-Client

The Activity Log and Event Log functions of Hessian API were changed to accommodate Grid DS-Client.

isUsingDetailedLog and setUsingDetailedLog are now generic functions

isUsingDetailedLog and setUsingDetailedLog were functions defined specifically for each type of backup set
supported via Hessian API. They have been moved from the specific sets and were added to the Backup Set parent
interface.

Changed Functionality
DS-System
Template DS-Clients
Template DS-Clients can now act as template DS-Clients whether the "Requires Registration" option is checked or
unchecked. Previously, Template DS-Clients would only be valid if the DS-Client was also configured with the
"Requires Registration" option enabled.

DS-NOC
'User can view recovery tracker for RLM' is now a DS-NOC permission
Previously users were configured in the user's properties with the option "User can view recovery tracker for
Recovery License Model (RLM)". This option has been moved to a User-level Permission that can be enabled at
the Users level or Groups level.

Discontinued Support for Next Release

None

Known Issues
VMware backup File Level Restore to Network Location
To restore to an alternate location on the network, an individual file or set of files using the File Level Restore
feature of VMware Backup Sets, the network location must be first be mapped as a drive. The mapped drive must
be setup using credentials that allow read and write operations to the network location for the user executing the
restore.

Installing or upgrading DS-System v13 on Linux displays a warning

The following warning message is displayed by the installation tool when installing or upgrading DS-System v13.
The warning should be ignored. Proceed with the installation to completion as normal.

VMware VM Replication service not set to start after restart DS-Client
The VMware VM replication service is by default, not started when DS-Client starts. The VM replication service
must be on for the VM replication to be successful. To set VM replication service to start when DS-Client starts:

1. Open DS-User and log into DS-Client

2. Select Configuration

3. Select the Advanced tab

4. Select the Category, Miscellaneous

5. Select the Parameter, VMRServiceStart

6. Set the Value to True

7. Select Apply

DS-Client must connect to DS-System to retrieve VM Replication Group

configuration
After setting up and configuring the VM Replication Group in DS-System, ensure that each DS-Client makes a
connection to DS-System (by performing a Daily / Weekly Admin activity or Setup Menu > View Quotas). On
connection DS-Client retrieves the VM Replication Group information from DS-System.

RLM Functionality on Internet Explorer 8 for DS-NOC

In v13, DS-NOC may not perform as expected when accessed via IE 8. Use IE 9 and up or other web browsers if
DS-NOC shows unexpected behaviors.

Classic DS-User Appearance on Windows 8 Default Theme

When installing Classic DS-User, DS-Mobile on Windows 8 configured with the Default Desktop Theme (Aero), the
GUI may display these behaviors:

Incorrect buttons in DS-User GUI (such as the Close Window button).

Windows 8 icons overlapping with the title bars on some windows in the GUI
and others

To bypass these issues, set the computer that is running Windows DS-Client to the Classic Windows Theme,
instead of the Default Desktop Theme (Aero).

Auto-Upgrade of DS-User Running under Admin Account on Mac OS X

The auto-Upgrade of DS-Users is supported from DS-Clients that have DS-User Auto-Upgrade packages in the
auto-upgrade cache. For DS-Users running on Mac OS X operating systems, auto-upgrade will work only when
DS-User is launched using the root account. When DS-User is launched using admin account, auto-upgrade will fail
since the admin account does not have rights to overwrite the root ownership of DS-User files (previously installed
with the root account).

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 24
Auto-Upgrade of DS-User for VAR Branding
When DS-System is configured to support VAR Branding, DS-User Auto-Upgrade packages should not be placed in
the Upgrade folder of DS-System since the VAR branding will be affected. Currently, only one branding is supported
for DS-User Auto-Upgrade packages in DS-System, the Service Provider's branding.

Orphaned Backup Sets Recovery on DS-Mobile Client

When recovering orphaned backup sets on DS-Mobile Client, if a backup set with the same name already exists,
the process will generate an error. Users must first change the name of an existing backup set to a different name
and then initiate the recovery process again.

Account Encryption Keys Containing Unicode Characters

Unicode characters are supported for both private and account encryption keys. Asigra Windows and Linux/Mac
DS-Clients use different encoding for their encryption keys. Because of this, when Unicode characters are used in
the Account Key, Windows and Linux/Mac DS-Clients cannot be installed under the same account, even if the
Account Encryption Keys provided are the same.

LAN Discovery Path Lengths

Currently, a LAN Discovery Paths Length of up to 1024 characters is supported by Linux and Mac DS-Clients. Linux
and Mac DS-Clients can scan paths up to 1024 characters long. When a path being scanned is longer than 1024
characters, DS-Clients will report errors and the LAN Discovery Scan will stop.

File Restore of MS SharePoint to Original Location

When performing the file restore of MS SharePoint Servers to Original Location and the MS SharePoint Server is
configured with remote MS SQL Databases, the restore may fail with the error The network name cannot be
found. If this happens, use Alternate Location to perform a file restore of MS SharePoint Servers.

Restore of MS Exchange 2007 Items When Backup with CDOEX to MS

Exchange 2010
When performing the backup of MS Exchange items, DS-MLR will try to backup via MAPI, and if that fails, it will
backup via CDOEX. When restoring to MS Exchange 2010 items that were backed up from MS Exchange 2007
using CDOEX, the restore may fail. Microsoft has removed the support for CDOEX from MS Exchange 2010. To
bypass this, restore items backed up via CDOEX to an MS Exchange 2007 Server.

Asigra Inc. All Rights Reserved. v13 Release Notes. Confidential. Page 25
Third Party Software Known Issues
Re-install DS-Client with MS SQL Express on Windows 2008 R2 x64
When re-installing Windows DS-Client with MS SQL Express on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 machine, the installation
of the MS SQL Express software may fail and the following error message will be displayed SQL
Exception:0xFFFFFFFF. The issue is caused by the MS SQL Express uninstaller, which does not completely
uninstall MS SQL Native Client. As a workaround, extract sqlncli_x64.msi from SQLEXPR.exe and run the MSI
before you re-install DS-Client with MS SQL Server Express.

Certifications
Asigra includes all its encryption functions in a separate encryption library that was validated by NIST.

Currently, the following functionality has been certified:

AES encryption - certificate #968 (see http://csrc.nist.gov/groups/STM/cavp/documents/aes/aesval.html)

Random number generation - certificate #546 (see
http://csrc.nist.gov/groups/STM/cavp/documents/rng/rngval.html)
Digital signature - certificate #938 (see http://csrc.nist.gov/groups/STM/cavp/documents/shs/shaval.htm)
