kets on our website calendar, open days will be posted as soon as
available

Members are reminded that, when there are no exhibitions on in the

gallery, they are able to hire the space to do artwork of any kind
(If it's messy you have to clean up though!). Cost is $20 per day and
any number of artists may be involved. Our visitors can then see
artists at work as part of their experience at Creators. Studio rates
are $20 per half day and include use of the press and equipment.
WORKSHOP REPORTPRINT RECOVERY
Creators members came together to collaborate and inspire each other over three
days prior to the Print Recovery exhibition. New works were created out of their
stored prints and other artworks. Prints were renewed using collage, monoprints,
solar printing and block printing. The results were refreshing and in most cases gave
the artists new perspectives. The workshop participants were joined by other mem-
bers young and old to produce a balanced and colourful exhibition of many medi-
ums. Congratulations to all the exhibitors. Creators invites more members to take
part in future workshops and members exhibitions, for a low cost and educational
experience. Abi Thompson

COMMITTEE NEWS

The Creators Artspace management committee over the summer period has
collaborated to bring more members, customers and interested parties into our
unique, multi-purpose spaces. A recently purchased large gallery sign at our
entrance further advertises our presence. We successfully ran our February
Print Recovery workshops and already have participants interested in our
March, April and May workshops. Quality printmaking materials have been
expertly sourced and stocked for workshop participants to use or purchase.
Professional printmakers are running these sessions; one of which has been
part-funded by a City of Wodonga Arts and Cultural Contribution Printmaking
Grant. Our print facilities have been given a customised facelift, including
smart new benchtops, and tools and materials have been purchased. A business
plan has been written for further grants and philanthropic funding. Our recent
registration with the Volunteer Resource Bureau means that we should be able
to access volunteer help to keep Creators Artspace, and its UmberElla Print
shop open for six days a week rather than the present five.
Lynette Callaghan, Secretary

Creators Artspace is a community arts group. We are incorporated

ship benefits include this newsletter, workshop discounts, framing
discounts, eligibility to hire the gallery or studio and printing press.
