I. INTRODUCTION

Reading is one of the key to be a successful so as this early children


should learn how to read but not just learn to read but also they must also learn
to love reading for enjoyment also. Teaching them to read and to love reading
will help prepare them to face the world with confidence and to be successful
one. Also the imaginations of the child will be enhanced after reading many
books.

Reading is one the things that you can always use in your everyday life,
anywhere you go you will always have to read and read and read. You can use
reading all the time, anywhere and anytime but knowing how to read is not the
end of that, you also have to learn how to love reading. In reality, many of us
are just reading for the sake of knowing some things that are important to read
so the result is you will get easily bored when it comes to reading. Especially in

school, students are just reading to know the things that important for the
subjects, for the examinations that they have to prepare.

Advocating love of reading one the answers for the students but also for
the children, as early as this if you taught them the love of reading theyll carry it
for lifetime.

II. TEACHERS ACT

A. Problem

Sean Howell E. Tenorio is an 8 years old boy. He is now on the grade


three (3) level. He is the eldest son of my brother. He loves to sing and to play
with his siblings. As his auntie I can say that hes not into reading he gets easily
bored when its time to read.
He learn to read before he entered the Grade school level, every other
day his mother always give her a time to teach him how to read. I also
witnessed how he gets bored when he is already reading for about 1-2 hours.

B. Solution

I talked to my eldest brother that I will help Sean to love reading. So


before I started my first session with him I bought some new story books that I
know he will get interested with.

III. CONCLUSION

At the end of the sessions, I conclude that:

Sean will started to love reading.


Sean will get interested in reading books.
Sean will not get easily bored when reading.
Sean will be also lead her siblings to loves reading too.

IV. RECOMMENDATION

I recommend that:

Sean will continuously read books even though are sessions are
already done.
The parents should support him in terms of reading books.
The parents will motivate him to read books regularly

APPENDICES

Session 1
He was amazed when he saw that I bought
him new story books so he listen carefully
when I started reading the book.

Session 2
In session 2, he decided
to read on his own so I just
took him picture while
hes enjoying reading the
story again on his own.

Session 3
On session 3, I gave him a new story book, the
story of Pinocchio so he started to read again
like hes very interested in the story.

Session 4

Next morning, I went to their house to give


him the next book that he will read. I gave him
the story of Peter Pan.

Session 5
After few hours I let him to
read again. He told me
about the story Peter pan
like he was get amazed with
story so he said that he
wants to read it again.

Session 6
The next morning, I gave
him another story book
unlike before I can now say
that Sean is really paying
attention and he did not get

bored.

Session 7

After few hours he asked


me if he can read the story of
Peter Pan again so I allowed
him.

Session 8

Hes now enjoying reading books unlike


before when I saw him reading books with his
mother.

Session 9

I gave him another story and he


said he knows the story and he
also said that its a beautiful story.

Session 10
He chose to read the story book
that we read last session.

Session 11

I let him to choose on what he


wants to read then he chose the
first book that we read.

Session 12
I can say that he is
improving, he is now
enjoying all the time that he is
reading.

Session 13

After the he read the last book


for that day he said that he will
keep the books that I gave
because it is good stories.

Session 14

I think hes now very interested


of reading story books because
he is telling about what
happened on what he read.

On our last session he said that


he will colour the books that I
gave.

REFLECTIONS

Session 1
On our first session, I can say that it was a really good day for me
because when Sean saw the books that I bought for him I saw that Ive
captured his interest you can see in his eyes that he wants to read the
books that he saw from me.

Session 2
On our second session, I saw how interested he was in the story books
that I bought because he decided to read it on his own so I let him to read
it.

Session 3
On our third session, I can say that Sean is having a good time in reading
books thats why he asked me if he can read already the next story book
that he saw from me that morning.

Session 4
On our fourth session, I gave him another story book I saw how happy he
is when he saw the book so I just let him enjoy reading taking his time
with his new books.

Session 5
On our fifth session, I saw that hes really interested with the story of Peter
Pan so he decided to read it
again.

Session 6
On our sixth session, I can say that Sean is improving unlike before he is
paying attention now and he didnt get bored.

Session 7
On our seventh session, Im amazed when he decided to read the Peter
Pan again like he really wants the story just like on our session yesterday
he also decided to read again the story of Peter Pan.

Session 8
On our eighth session, after letting him to choose what story he wants to
read he just get the book and focused on it. Hes really serious in reading
you can see it in his eyes.

Session 9
On our ninth session, after I gave him the new story book he said that he
knows the story. He told me some part of it on what happened and what
is the ending.

Session 10

On our tenth session, he decided to read the story he read last session so

I let him. After he read the story he said that it was a good story .

On our eleventh session, he choose to read the same story again. I know
that hes just really amazed on the story thats why he decided to read it
again.

Session 12
On our twelfth session, I can say that Sean is improving because before
when his father is letting him to read he easily get bored unlike now you
can see that hes interested.

Session 13
On our thirteenth session, hes really happy he also said that hell keep
the story that I gave. Im happy that nephew is enjoying the things that I do
for him.

Session 14

On our fourteenth session, after he read the book he told me some parts
of the story that he read he is telling me about what happened in the story.

Session 15

On our fifteenth session, he said that he will keep all the books and colour
it also. It was successful I saw how happy and enjoyed my nephew was,
you can see it in his eyes and the way he told me about the things that he
read.

Sean Howell E. Tenorio is allowing my daughter/ son to attend a session

in Community Service in Developmental Reading 1 to be held on this month of

November to December, 2016.

I, hereby waive/renounce the right to any complaint for compensation or course

of action against PLMun and Tenorio, Karla C. in any case of accident /

injury in the course of the Field Study.

I understand that the organizers of the above mentioned event will give their

most utmost to ensure my daughters / sons safety.
