Chosen as one of 29 ambassadors to participate in service and leadership
initiatives. Gave tours to prospective students, assisted at graduation, provided
welcoming presence at new student orientation, assisted with focus groups and
service projects
Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia. I have been a member of this organization
since 2006 when it was established in the Richmond area. I have worked booths
at the Richmond Heart walk.
American Heart Association. In 2013, I shared my story at the Richmond heart
walk in front of thousands of people. In 2014, I went to a local high school and
spoke to them about the importance of research and how it has benefitted
individuals such as myself. In 2015, I was featured in the Richmond Magazine
and I shared my story to help spread CHD awareness.
