Summary Comment

The colours used in the magazine connote a softer feel to the reader, which suggests the
magazine is aimed at younger audience. The heavy use of pink in the design as well as the
inclusion of celebrity gossip and elements of fashion connote to the reader that the
magazine is aimed at an audience of young girls.

Summary Comment

Some Design choices such as adding the Nick Jonas photo shoot are out of place on the
cover and dont fit well on the cover. They might have been more appropriate in the
contents page. The overall magazine is very cluttered with lots of content, The colour
scheme catches the consumers eye however the inclusion of yellow along with red and
black makes the colours on the cover clash.

Summary Comment

Clean cover design with a large and clear headmast draws the readers eye. The cover isnt
cluttered with text as to not put some consumers off. The overall magazine is very well laid
out and shows a clear understanding of magazine design conventions.

Summary Comment

The colour scheme of the magazine is jarring and may put off consumers while the overall
design of the magazine is poor. Some of the content in the magazine such as the photos
contradicts the magazines genre e.g. Guitar in a dubstep magazine is out of place

Summary Comment

Well laid out and clearly presented. Its lack of colour in the photos is compensated by the
blue highlights, which draw the readers eye. Decent amount of photos however photo
locations need more variety however and the spacing between items on the contents page
needs to be minimised

Very well organised and well presented magazine. Some gaps and negative space but very
well presented with a clear knowledge of magazine design. Large variety of photos and
types of shot, red highlights on white colour scheme catches the consumers eye and draws
attention to the magazine.

Summary Comment

Eye catching colour scheme drawing the consumers eye and a large variety of fonts and
text sizes. Very busy layout with text and photos over lapping, which adds to the
magazines style. More variety in the types of shot used in the photos and the front cover
lacks an eye catching centre of visual interest.
