5 Course Objective The course aims:


To expose the students to different dimensions of economy policies.
To familiarize them with micro economic environment in which business
entities operate
To enable them to understand economic policies of India
To familiarize them with the concepts of international business
To understand the implications of economic policies on the business
To enable them take managerial decisions, under different constraints, posed
by the economic environment.
6 Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students will be able to:
1. Understand the key concepts pertaining to microeconomics and understand
the managerial decision making process.
2. Explain how prices adjust to shifts in the determinants of the underlying
supply and demand structures.
3. Demonstrate a sound understanding of market stakeholders.
4. Analyse the economic environment in which business entities operate.
5. Understand how managerial decisions can vary under different constraints
6. Apply modern principles and methods of microeconomics to real-world
business problems
7. Enable the students to understand concepts related to business economics
8. Help the students learn market structures
9. Expose students to macroeconomic policies and enables them to take
