AFFIDAVIT

I, BRUNO E. VERANO, of legal ages, Filipino citizen, single,

and a resident of Brgy, Linao, Ormoc City, Leyte, after being first
sworn according to law, hereby depose and state: THAT:

1. The examination for the execution of this Affidavit was

conducted and taken under the supervision of Atty. Johnny S.
Bravo at the Kilid-Kilid Law Office, Can-adieng, Ormoc City,
Leyte, Philippines

2. I have honestly answered the questions propounded to me, fully

conscious that I do so under oath, and that I may face criminal
liability for false testimony or perjury.

3. The following are the questions asked of me which I answered

correspondingly:

1. Q: Do you promise to tell the truth and nothing

but the truth, so help you God?

A: Yes, I do.

2. Q: Where were you on June 18, 2012?

A: I was on the residence of Amanda Rivera

3. Q: How are you related to Amanda Rivera?

A: She is my aunt. She and my father are siblings.

4. Q: What were you doing on that day at Amandas

residence?

A: I was cleaning the car of Amanda which we

usually use for riding from place to place.

5. Q: Why were you the one cleaning the car?

A: Because I am the one who always drives the

car for her.

6. Q: Do you know Bianca Mendoza?

A: Yes sir.

7. Q: How did you know her?

A: I knew her because she is the neighbor of

Amanda whose residence is located next to a vacant
lot owned by Amanda which she is using as a
parking area for the public utility vehicles she
operates.

8. Q: Did you see Bianca on that day?

A: Yes sir, he was on the vacant lot beside the

house of Amanda cleaning her car.

9. Q: Did you see Bianca Mendoza on that day?

A: Yes sir.

10. Q: What was she doing when you saw her?

A: I saw her bringing a knife while going towards

the direction where Amanda Rivera is.

11. Q: What was your impression when you saw

Bianca with the knife?

A: I immediately thought that she was about to

do harm to Amanda Rivera.

12. Q: Why do you thought that way?

A: Because I recalled that they had a heated

argument the day before June 18, 2016.

13. Q: Where were you when that argument

happened?

A: I was inside the house of Amanda listening to

their argument.

14. Q: Do know what that argument is all about?

A: Yes sir. It was all about a long time dispute

pertaining to their land boundaries.

15. Q: Okay, Going back. What did you do upon

seeing Bianca with the knife?

A: I shouted at Amanda saying Tiya, si naa

Bianca may dalang kutsilyo og patyon ka!
(Aunt, Bianca is approaching with a knife and is
going to kill you)

16: Q: What happened thereafter?

A: I saw Bianca and Amanda grappling and

wrestling over the control of the knife.

17. Q: After that grappling situation, what

happened?

A: Bianca was able to stab Amanda in the

abdomen.

18. Q: After stabbing, what did Bianca do?

A: She immediately flee leaving Amanda

bleeding to the ground.

19. Q: What happened next?

A: Bianca was immediately rushed to OSPA-FMC

20. Q: Who brought her to that hospital?

A: She was brought by Josh C. Brillantes and

Samantha D. Cortez.

21. Q: Do you know them?

A: Yes sir. I got acquainted with them a long time

ago because always I go out with them to drive
Amanda during gatherings.

22. Q: Do you wish to say any other things?

A: Yes, sir. I also reserve the right to clarify,

explain and amplify my statements in open court.
